Jazz: Trump's Journey or Shark Dash? My final dollar so choose wisely and would be great if you'd suggest one other too.

Also what are some good pick up and play games? (examples being ice rage, super crate box, dungeon raid, etc). Also how are PuzzleJuice, SpellTower, and Jazz: Trump's Journey?

Well Jazz is a solid platformer and Shark Dash is a solid physics based slinging puzzler. So I say just choose based off which genre you'd rather play. Both are solid.

 

Can anyone recommend a good dual stick shooter that also has some rpg elements? Character development/ skills, leveling up, inventory etc... Already have pocket rpg, I just run out of stuff to do with it

 

It doesn't have very deep RPG elements, but Lock 'n' Load is really good.

 

There, just solved two qs at once. But seriously other goty contenders would have to be Waking Mars, maybe May Payne or The Crow although probly not, maybe pizza vs skeletons, Ice rage,AB:s?...not sure I'd put Swordigo in front with Waking Mars.

And a prediction for BattleHeart 2 and Star Command as unrealeased goty contenders.

It's not Munch time...I know that much (hate that game...worst gotw ever)

 

I'd also add Run Roo Run as a GOTY contender as well as possibly Saturday Morning RPG.

 

Ya, I agree with Smrpg depending on exactly how many episodes come out later and how good they are...

I didnt find run roo run to be that great...just ok igues

 

Definitely agree with these. I got all stars for all levels on RRR! SMRPG is amazing as well So many odd, but cool moments in this game.

 

What are some top-notch pick-up-and-play games out there? Think like BlastBall, Super Crate Box, Ice Rage, Dungeon Raid, etc. Any good ones out there?

Also hows Amoebattle?

 

Still on my quest for a decent game. Anything out there like Gatling gears, castle crashers or the like?

 

Tried 8bit Ninja?

 

Amoebattle is excellent, and one of the best RTS now available on iOS. It's beautiful, unique, and very, very polished.

As jumpman said, 8-bit Ninja is a great, new pick-up-and-play game, and my pick for the week is Wing Warrior. Both games are free. Both are addictive and fun.

 

Just checked out 8 bit Ninja. Reminds me of the Penguin in a Bath Tub minigame from Icy Escort, but more advanced. Definitely a keeper. I'm also checking out Wing Warrior as we speak.

Also I think I'll be sure to check out Amoebattle then. I just got enough credits through freemyapps for it, so I think I'll get it via that route. Thanks for the recommendations though!

On a side note I'm completely addicted to Dungeon Raid now after picking it up with the weekend sale. I have to forcefully stop myself from opening the app or that's another hour or so down the drain

Castle Crashers is freaking awesome. And there's nothing quite like it on the AppStore that I've found. I mean there's plenty of beat em ups just nothing quite as good as CC. There are quite a few quality KRPG's which are similar. Crimsonheart and the like. Also, some good beat em ups like Streets of Rage and X-men. Just nothing with the humor, creativity, and originality of CC.

 

Try swordigo. Closest game I've found to cc. Plus, it's freakin amazing so you'll love it either way.

 

Anything along the same line as Gatling gears? I liked pocket rpg. I don't do too well with anything that requires deft control input, as touchpad and me just don't mix.

 

Any must haves for the past month ??

 

Saturday Morning RPG is the only one that comes to mind.
