It was good, nice variety in the gameplay. But it's a bit too casual, nothing challenging about the game and no replay value unless you are into jigsaw puzzles. Worth getting it while it's on sale, there is a lot of good gameplay in terms of time you'd spend, and it was fun enough for me to play it till the end.
Thanks, But after reading reviews proclaiming woes of the IAP and corporate meddling variety, I think I'll pass. It's kind of sad, what Firemint's become. The new iPad is incredible, people. Standard iPhone apps look unbelievable with the over-hauled 2X mode and fully optimized games like Air Supremecy and Infinity Blade 2 are even better.
Wahl are some of the best turn based RPGs on the iPad that fit this description. 1: Classic fantasy. I don't want to fight Zhyrgoms or ortygmz, I want to fight goblins, orcs and dragons.so no final fantasy or chaos rings 2: classic setting, no airships, no space portals, I want castles, draw bridges, forests and villages 3: as non linear as possible, but with a good story 4: side quests 5: fun character development, not al chaos rings where you just buy the new equipment after each mission and all stats are automatically distributed. Chaos rings got no equipment system in my opinion, you always have one choice, which the newest equipment, so you don't really advance, you just stay in line with the mission. 6: challenge, a lot of challenge Thanks!
There are two games that fit this-- Undercroft and Battle for Wesnoth. Undercroft is pretty linear though.
Two games as in only two or the first two you came to think of. However how does battle for wesnoth fit the description? It's a turn based strategy game, not an rpg. Any more suggestions?
vibliribland, "The Quest" (Redshift) but this game iPhone only, very great and interesting. Gameplay same as undercroft.
A great game indeed, however it's more like an morrowind type game, I'm looking for a classic turn based rpg, like pretty much all jrpgs ever made. However I have certain criteria.
Ahhh, I'm sorry. I was a bit confused by your original post and read "turn based" as "turn based strategy". I think both of the Ash games fall into this category. Great dialogue, intriguing story, etc. The first game suffers from linearity but the second game does better. That's literally all I can think of. The market is pretty bare when it comes to JRPGs of quality on iOS. You could always jailbreak and get an SNES or GBA emulator though. Lots of options there.
Hey guys. I'm looking for two kinds of games for my new iPad. First, I'd love some recommendations for good same-device multiplayer games. Also, any recommendations for PC ports that feel at home on the iPad? I'm looking for something that's iPad exclusive, under ten dollars, and loaded with content. Thanks in advance!
Orbit1 Ice Rage ChuChu Rocket HD Fruit Ninja HD Glow Hockey 2 HD Flight Control HD Trenches: Generals Mirror's Edge HD Cliffed XL Foosball HD Infinity Field HD Here are a few I enjoy. Didn't bother including any turn-based/pass-and-play games. These are all real-time ones. Hope this helps. Checked out the new iPad today. It was freaking sick.
If you just got the new iPad I suggest to get the Modern Combat 3, because that device gives you huge advantage and you'll be a pro instantly...
Well, it has great production values, both visual and audio, and a nice story. Camera and controls are pretty terrible, though. Seriously, WTF is with Gameloft? Their 3rd-person controls have been getting only worse since The Avatar game. Still, for a buck, I enjoyed it. Mainly because the story is almost like a neat little movie.
Games like wild frontier Anyone remember Wild Frontier? The best k-rpg out there? It was just perfect for me. Is there any other good rpg from that type.. I am not interested in Chaos Rings aspect of fighting... Other games I liked: Adventure Bar Story Across Age Zenonia Ash
