Hey there, I was wondering if the Infinity Blade II crash reports have been fixed, and if anyone else with a 4th gen ipod touch has had any issues
There's been some vague updates that fix most crashes and what not. Still, though, they have yet to fix the horrific iCloud save bug that erases your game from time to time. This, however, was fixed (at least for me) by just simply shutting iCloud the f*ck off. ahhaahaha. To sum things up, it's worth getting, or redownloading if you are on ipod touch 4th gen, and is completely playable (save for a very few, and short graphical stutters in certain rooms, nothing gamebreaking though), so long as you shut off the "Apps and Data" part of iCloud. If this bothers you, or you use iCloud with a lot of apps and such, and don't want to shut it down just for IB II, I'd wait for another update. And I have no idea when that will be honestly.
Thanks for the info, although if this save bug is anything like the Zombieville 2 save bug I think I'll hold off, especially since I lost my Zombieville data while still running 4.3.x Thanks for the info regardless, great help.
Well, that's a MMORPG and a TBS, lol, but yeah, it couldn't be that much more complex than Wesnoth. You do everything in real-time though as the name of the genre suggests. You don't get unlimited time to think. But really, it's probably a game that will only appeal to people who are already RTS fans. Frontpage review: http://toucharcade.com/2009/12/14/red-conquest-a-complete-but-complex-rts/ From the review: "Only after reading up on the Red Conquest Strategy thread in our forums and watching the below video did I manage to get a full grasp of what the correct strategy should be on that particular level. I say all of this as a guy who is intimately familiar with the concepts behind RTS games; I can kick nearly anyone's tail in Age of Empires II, and I've always been a big Starcraft fan. If Red Conquest was this difficult for me, I suspect newcomers to the genre don't stand a chance." "Those who are not fans of RTS games are not likely to enjoy Red Conquest, as it's really packing a complete RTS into a small, complicated control method that only genre veterans are likely to figure out. For those who stick with it and master the controls, one of the most complete, well-made RTS experiences on the iPhone await, but some real patience will be required." Like I said this a pretty hardcore strategy experience. Only game to ever get a two-paged review on TA: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=39129&highlight=conquest Tutorial: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=38431&highlight=conquest Strategies: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=36958&highlight=conquest Does it look like something that'll interest you? It plays great on 2x mode on the iPad 2 if that's what you're asking. Doesn't look too bad at all, and the I think the controls work even better on the big screen.
Yeah Red Conquest is one of the deepest RTS games on the AppStore, but it's got one hell of a learning curve.
8$ left thinking of getting sleepy jack and battleheart what else? Some games i like are: -Mage Gauntlet -Puzzle Agent -Wooords -Red Conquest -Boost 2 Deep or just really fun games please games that you really enjoy feel free to make a long list
Yeah I know they aren't RTS, but I meant is Red Conquest more complex. So if I have hardly any experience from RTS, 4x strategy etc. What would be the best game to start? Red Conquest? Wow, the tutorial for RC is BIG
I'm new to both Sonic CD, Sonic4, and Mega Man X... Would anyone recommend one over the other? TBH, I don't really care about 'history' or whatever, just looking for a straight up fun new game. Thoughts please? Thanks in advance!
yeah id say plants vs zombies and modern combat 3, both give me a different variety of playing styles
So which RTS or 4x strategy game is best for someone with nearly any experience on the genre, but is willing to start off?
... I don't really think there's any 4X strategy that will be easy. It's one of those things that you jump into and play on the easiest setting until you get used to it. Also, I played some more of Red Conquest and it's complex, but it's different from KoDP. In KoDP, it's based on real world situations and has over 500 scenarios. This means that your decisions will be a bit harder than placing units because it affects the lives of your people and other clans. Also, no game will ever be the same. Here's my campaign for King of Dragon Pass because it's the best RPG/TBS/4X strategy game money can buy on iOS: Alright so I've seen a lot of people ask what's the best (or a really good) strategy game on iOS. I'm taking it into my hands to point out one of the best ones that has seemed to get lost or pushed to the side due to it's $8 price tag. I've pushed other games (Lumi & Stretched) that I feel adamantly about and this is just one to add to that list! Anyways the game is an amazing RPG/TBS/4X strategy game. You pretty much colonize the world like any other 4X strategy, but it offers that deep RPG development. The game is truly remarkable. I have not seen one bad review for it anywhere! It also has a solid 5 star review on the AppStore! Slightly Dreanged My favorite review because he nails it on the head... "King Of Dragon Pass is like reading a book; more so, its like writing your very own legendary story. In fact, when you finish the game you have the option to review the entire story of your clan which can be dozens of pages long. Its truly fascinating to experience the progression from a puny bunch of villagers to a sprawling tribe. The emotional involvement is strong as you make critical choices that enrage your farmers or lose a battle and watch your warriors feel weak and pointless. It always feels like theres something happening in Glorantha and the rest of the clans are cunning with a well-defined personality." TA Review 5/5 PG Review 8/10 Silver Award and claimed to have no equals STP Review] 4/4 There's also a ton of other sites that gave it amazing reviews, but it'd be too many to list. I'm surprised more ppl don't know about the game and that I still see strategy/RPG fans have not played it yet. Funny gameplay videos!
