Need some recommendations for games for vacation. I like lots of different style games, from puzzlers/pick-up-and-play games to RPGs and TBSs, although I'm not looking for anything too in depth. Games I've considered recently include (in no order whatsoever): Geometry Dash Worms 3 Mines of Mars (loved I Dig It Expeditions, but if it's $5 for a clone of that game, not sure it's worth it). Out There Skulls of the Shogun Warhammer Quest Devil's Attorney Frozen Synapse Games that I've bought (or picked up for free) and actually enjoyed recently: Oceanhorn (Good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected) Threes (see Oceanhorn) Toast Time PvZ 2 Subway Surfers (re-downloaded for my kids and enjoy the upgrade system) Fieldrunners 2 (wish there were more RPG elements) Super Stickman Golf 2 (loved the asynch multiplayer) Great Big War Game (love the asynch multiplayer) Duet Game Man at Arms TD (like it more than some other TD games I've picked up recently, but sometimes wish the card system was a bit more simple) Rayman Fiesta Run (not as much as the original) Paint it Back There are plenty more on each list, but those are what I can think of at the moment.
From the looks of your tastes definitely get: Geometry Dash Mines of Mars (it's not a clone at all) Skulls of the Shogun (bc it has the async multi, plus it's great) I would say WHQ as well, but it doesn't have multiplayer Out There and Frozen Synapse are probably a bit too niche for you And I haven't played Worms 3 or Devil's Attorney
FTL is AMAZING! Although it hasn't exactly come out as of now (on iPad), you basically fly around in your spaceship buying better weapons and equipment for your ship and commanding your crew onboard - whether they repair something or stay where they are and keep fighting boarded 'enemies' (for a small example) - whilst navigating through a random star system each time! (it's rogue-like, which if you don't know, means when you die, you practically start over.. Which isn't always bad!) Oh, and don't worry it's gets a LOT deeper then that! I know I will be instabuying this one and am totally looking forward to if! I'd say (since it's been out on PC for ages) look up some gameplay to get a clearer view of what you *could possibly* (note that) be buying in the very need future, there's HEAPS out there!! Well, I've told you pretty much all I know off the top of my head (I'm kinda tired, but was on the forums and decided to reply and hope you now know that yes, FTL IS a good (great, no amazing, BRILLIANT IN FACT!) game, especially after watching and playing it, I know I love it, and I'm sure you will too!!? ~Vexka =^0^=
Alright everyone, All iPad recommendations. Bought an iPad mini retina. I like RPG's, Roguelikes, Simulations, Puzzles, Word Games. Just not a platform guy. I have FTL Monument Valley Vice City Threes And lots others ...pretty much looking for ipad specific since I've been buying all the big iPhone games for awhile. Thanks TA bros.
Just played Monument Valley, which was amazing. And it reminds me, in style only, of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, which I loved. Is the term Experience-focused? Does anyone have any other games like this on and S&S that they can think of off the top of their head? I'm eager for more. Thanks!
