Sorcery! or Trial of the Clone? I've only tried one game book before and I wasn't that taken by it (Gamebook Adventures 1: An Assassin in Orlandes). I've had my eye on Sorcery! for a while but haven't really got around to getting it. They both look really good to me but I'm not going to be able to get Sorcery! 2 for a while. Are they very long?
Hey everyone! I just recently registered here but have been lurking the boards for awhile now. Decided to make my first post because I could use some suggestions. Sorry in advance if this has been asked numerous times already. I'm looking for a Space/Sci-Fi RPG. Price is not much of an issue as long as it's a great game. Not a fan of IAP but am OK with them as long as they aren't necessary to complete the game. The only Space/Sci-Fi RPG I have right now is Star Wars KOTOR which is one of my all-time favorite games (it was great to see it ported to iOS). Just wondering what some other good games for this specific RPG genre that the TA community would suggest I try. Many thanks!
Does anyone still use Free My Apps? Is there something better? And to the dude above, check out Galaxy on Fire 2
Thanks for the suggestion on Galaxy on Fire 2! Looks pretty good. Installing the HD version now. I just heard about Free My Apps earlier today and was wondering about it as well. Was thinking about trying it out, but I'm not sure about that kind of stuff.
alrighty.... So Prince of persia warrior within? it lags soo much is there a way to fix this? I tried restarting my device but it still lags... frame rate drops to really low... and should I get the full version of Galaxy on Fire 2 HD? I played through the free part last year... it was nice... kinda slow... but nice... is it worth it? what about MC4? does that work on an iPad mini?
Just finished Legend Dary and wanting to jump into another platformer. I'm debating between Type Rider or Icycle, any input or would you recommend a favorite I should consider?
Deleted all my Kemco and Kairosoft games (about 15 total) today from iTunes since none of them support iPad/iPhone 5. Never really got to play more than 5 minutes of any of them. Also deleted a bunch of other popular titles I've never touched since they don't support the latest devices either. Couldn't bring myself to delete the Chaos Rings games after remembering how much they cost. Only played through the first one. Never thought I'd ever get an iPad two to three years back . ..or even just one year ago. Got it for Christmas last year.
Never played Type: Rider bc it always seemed a bit too simple. I'd say Icycle as it's far more intriguing plus it's humorous
Are you sure? Cause many games lag on the mini... And I'd have to remove some games to install mc 4 Don't want to delete games if its not worth it
OK chaps, Christmas is coming and wrapped up under the tree for me will be a shiny new retina style iPad Mini; this is intended to be a mostly-gaming upgrade to my first generation iPad. So. What should I be getting? I tend to like roguelikes (think procedurally generated games with permadeath in general, not just dungeon crawlers), dungeon crawls, more than averagely entertaining time management games (Ranch Rush, Royal Envoy, Burger Shop), match-3 with strategic or RPG content (Dungeon Raid, Triple Town), some tower defence (Kingdom Rush, PvZ prior to the EA takeover of Popcap), and line-drawing and other super simple control systems (Flight Control, Hook Champ, Tiny Wings). I have low tolerance for first person shooters, and very low tolerance for gradually-suck-away-your-lifeforce free to play, though I'm happy enough to pay for extra content, costumes and coin doublers. To give a flavour of where I stand on the graphics v. gameplay spectrum, the first video game I played was Pong and I'm upgrading because the original iPad won't run my beloved Brogue. I have about twenty quid in Apple Store credit to be going on with. Thoughts?
Hmmm ok I'll list 1 game for each category you specified: Heroes of Loot ( you HAVE to get it, beautiful pixel art) King's Rush Odyssey (management with RPG elements, also great) For TD there's Kingdom Rush Frontiers, a great sequel. If PvZ2 is out of picture there's not much else new. Oh definitely pick up Fieldrunners 2 HD if you don't have it. Unanimously phenomenal TD For a simple 1 touch game, Galaxy Run is awesome. It's a simple kind of puzzle runner almost? Hard to describe. Screen sized level based. Not endless. Also Space Chicks is a nice Endless runner if you're interested in that. For a line drawing game then definitely Bacon - The Game Oh and for a match 3 game the best one I can think of recently was this one pirate one. Can't remember the name though. Pretty sure TA gave it 5 stars
Scurvy Scallywags? I recommend this too, best match 3 I've played so far. I'm trying to decide between Darklings and LvLn. I'm not really a fan of endless, but darklings looks good but seems like it can get quite hectic. I cant see much about missions/objectives, is there any sense of progression? I liked Slayin, but didn't like starting again each time, so Lvln seems really good. I cant find out much about it, though. Is there a max level? What are the other two modes, besides Quest? The only review on the appstore says it crashes and wont start, has anyone else experienced this? I know they're only 69p each, but its my last 69p until Christmas I've also looked at Galaxy Run, but I didn't really like the super short levels of Run Roo Run. I like the look of Mikey Hooks too, really liked the Mikey Shorts, but with few levels it doesn't seem like it would last very long.
