Hi, I have an iPad 2 and £3. I'm sick of doing "ip dip do's" and still no closer to a decision. I'm considering: The Cave or Costume Quest or Doom and Destiny and Meltdown The control and framerate issues mentioned for The Cave are putting me off, but I've been wanting that for a while now. Costume Quest seems quite small, timewise. and a lot of people mention crashes, but again its another I've wanted for a while. Meltdown looks really good but I'm wondering if I'll get bored, I'm not really one for playing online. Doom and Destiny looks good and received good reviews. I've played Penny Arcade on the iPad and enjoyed that but found it got a bit repetitive and boring after some time, so I'm not sure if I'll think the same of D&D... Any help?
I'd highly recommend Meltdown without a doubt. It's one of the best iOS games I've ever played. And there's a 30 mission campaign as well as a randomized quick play mission you can play whenever (it scales to how powerful your character is). Tons of upgrades and weapons and skills. Awesome tactical gameplay. And the multiplayer is extremely seamless. It's none of that gamecenter stuff. Just click the game to Online mode and start a mission and people can join whenever. Or while ur in Online mode go to "Join" and a list of every game being played comes up and you just pic which to join. Definitely get Meltdown. I haven't played D&D or payed much attention to it so I can't help you there, all I have to say is get Meltdown. I prefer it over Costume Quest and The Cave
Doom and Destiny and Meltdown I recommend both of those i still haven't played both but they are next to my buy list soon.

Blip goes free a lot. If you can wait it will be free again HBT is fun but short . Don't know about others.
Ronin is a great runner with fighting elements. Beat down sucks. Really it's horrible. Dunno about the others.
Hi, I took your advice and got Meltdown. I haven't played much yet, at level 12, as I wanted to finish playing D&D first (I never would have, otherwise, it was a little bit boring, turn based battles and random encounters just aren't for me anymore). I do really enjoy Meltdown though, and have even played multiplayer which I never thought I'd do. Thanks for the recommendation, it's good fun
the only one i've played on iOS is harry potter 1-4 (i played harry potter 5-7 on 3DS, and its great), and it's very good.
I was actually considering one of the newer ones, like LOTR or Batman: DC Heroes since they seem self contained. I'm really not sure. I feel ill like LOTR for the story but characters from Batman are more diverse... I'd like. To know how. Both plays out.
Isle of bxnes or oceanhorn? Really like the look of bxnes, but worried about the depth. Oceanhorn seems pretty deep, but the reviews have been a little mixed. Halp! Or, should I scrap them both, and go for something else?
Meltdown is fun, especially in multiplayer. Also, Neon Shadow is fun for multiplayer. If one likes Super Hexagon type games, the new games Duet Game and Groove Vortex are pretty good, especially on ipad retina. Liking underdog Don't Save Yourself this week too. And Lazer Cat recommended Old game Catch 22, and that has been fun as well.
