Lego Batman: DC Superheroes should not be overlooked. It's a fun game with a good combat system and tons of unlockables. The game is easier because you can't definively die but is enjoyable. No other game will give you the sense of having a trusty side-kick or running into other Justice League members.
Get them all, I got both TDKR & ARK when they were on sale. Still need to play them one day, as they're in my ever growing backlog
like the batmans, get both.. I also got them during the sale... well not mayhem, but the Amazing one. Still need to play them
They're totally different kinds of games, so I guess it depends. One is a fighting type game, and the other is more of an open world experience.
They're both really good games, but I gotta say I enjoyed TDKR more. But like undeadcow said, check out LEGO Batman, too. I loved that game.
TDKR is by far the most technically impressive of the three games, but the combat is just so dull and boring (one button mashing) that I couldn't get through more than a few hours. The open world, though, is truly astounding and there are a good amount of collectibles, if that's your thing. Arkham Lockdown is Infinity Blade with a DC skin. Straight-up fighter. Lego Batman is probably my pick out of the three: it's funny, fun, and, of course, it's a Lego game. Oodles of things to do, puzzles, collectibles up the wazoo, characters to unlock, etc. It's also quite a looker, even if they removed the shadows from the iOS version for no damn good reason.
Total Mayhem, absolutely no question. It's the best superhero brawler on the platform, and one of the best iOS action games. Great art style.
What othercriminal sandbox games have and will be cloned I already know Rdr=six guns Gangstar series=gta But what else do they have one for saint row or godfather or anything else that is criminal sandbox. Dont say 9mm because that is a clone of max payne which is not open world
With the time i spent on each of the 3, I spent the most time on Arkham City Lockdown. It's arguably among the top 5 IB clones right now, albeit still being just a clone. Reason why i spent most time on this is that i love the IB formula to bits. As far as gameplay goes though, my objective choice goes to Lego Batman. Fully fleshed out action-adventure brawler-type of game with a bit of puzzle elements. TDKR is good because of the open-world mechanics, and how you can basically go anywhere. But as J-broo mentioned, the combat is somehow bland. If it wasnt for the nice animations when blocking and countering (especially when facing multiple enemies) this game wouldve sucked so much more.
Go for the Arkham City lockdown and might as well consider the lego one. TDKR is just not my cup of tea, the combat system/sequence is so dull, lame, and repetitive.
