If anyone is creative and would love to build games for their phone should get Geovertex. It's only 69p but is increasing in price after the upcoming update adding new features. I'm nothing to do with the dev I'm just promoting it here because its real value for money as its open ended with no templates so you can make almost any type of 2d game. The dev is responsive in the thread and adding user suggested features to this awesome game creation tool. Geovertex. Check it out if you haven't seen the thread already. Sry I can't post a link right now.
I suggest The Other Brothers, even if you dislike the controls (and they're not THAT bad imo) the developer is working on a update with alternative controls. Also, the developer indicated the $0.99 price point is temporary and will increase. They have promised to add new content (claiming plans to triple material and add multiplayer) but there's never any guarantee. The Other Brothers is worth $0.99, has responsive developers, and will increase in price so go for it.
I'm looking for a video app that adds a slow motion effect to the video. Right now, I got the free version of SloPro so I'm thinking about buying the full version, I just wanted to ask y'all here if there was anything better on the App Store.
SloPro is the best I've found. I usually just use Splice. There's this really nice $20 video edit app I can't remember the name but it looks awesome
Yeah Splice is actually pretty decent for free. I have iMovie, though. I think I'll buy the full version of SloPro. EDIT: Whoa, it's 3.99??
What good card games are recommended? I have only played Sword & Poker 2 so far. Which the best poker & mahjong game out there? I am looking for anything that isn't above 100mb. Thanks.
Shadow Era (Free, 100.6 MB) and Ascension ($4.99, 54.3 MB) are both good card games. Don't know anything about Poker and Mahjong games.
Any good oldschool monochrome Gameboy like games for iPad ? Kale in Dinoland looks good, but alas not universal ( even though when I open screens they are fullscreen on iPad like they are meant for iPad version ? ) Also are there any retro RPGs like Dragon fantasy and Guardian saga I might have missed searching ?
Anybody like SRPG ? Well I was lucky enough to play Kingturn in advance of its release this coming Wednesday night. I'm nothing to to do with the dev I guarantee you. I just feel like promoting this amazing game in this thread because I'm a fan of the genre and man does this brilliant game deserve some exposure. Check out Kingturn in the upcoming games forum and here are my impressions after a couple of hours with the game if you're interested :- I've been lucky enough to try this game and I must say it is absolutely gorgeous. It oozes quality from the beautiful little characters that make up your team, the environments, even the menus are stunning and everything is just bursting with quality and neat little touches. The gear is all beautifully drawn too. In terms of overall quality I'm reminded of the golden age of Nintendo when you fired up one of their classics you were guaranteed an amazing adventure. I've only had chance to play the first 6 scenarios if the game but already I am getting attached to my awesome team that I've already started levelling up and equipping with the spoils of battle. The dialogue is witty and gives the incredible little sprites oodles of personality. I'm quickly getting drawn in to what I know will be an amazing, and long story. I can't begin to imagine how attached to my party I am to become in the coming hours/days/weeks of working through the enormous campaign. If you like high quality SRPG with engaging story and characters to care about / Loot and levelling with a whole team of players to level up and equip / incredibly polished gameplay from the controls to the amazing music to the story .... ok I'm ranting ! You know when you fire up a game and everything just clicks. I'm already addicted to equipping my players. I'm addicted to finding out where the story will go. I'm addicted to levelling my characters to increase their skills for battle. I would happily pay £40 for a game of this quality. If you like SRPG this is a no brainer. If you don't particularly like SRPG the you need this anyway. It's that good. I've played most notable SRPG that IOS has to offer (apart from this games predecessor's as they were withdrawn from the App Store) and even after 6 scenarios I can confidently say that is the best our platform has to offer IMO. If you want to enjoy the story and you're not that bothered about strategy then play on default difficulty and you are in for an an entertaining ride. If you an SRPG fan and you like a challenge then crank up the difficulty and the AI is brutal. This game is the best in its class. IMO it is / will be the best game so far this year out of all genre. There's been some great games this year so far like H&C / Block Fortress / FFV amongst others. This title takes them all IMO. I will need to play further to see where this sits amongst the classics of the genre like FFT or Front Mission but from what I've experienced I have high hopes. Look forward to release day SRPG fans you are in for a real treat. I shall be buying the other two games especially if there is a chance they may be removed from the store. If they are a tenth as good as this they are well worth the asking price. I can't wait for the release on Wednesday night. I shall be staying up to get this amazing game.
+1 to recommending Kingturn, releasing on April 12, the App Store might never be the same again. It ups the ante with tactical turn based strategy gameplay focusing on base protection / seizure and has customizable characters with leveling up, purchasable equipment (resource management, each character wears 4 items so combination is robust), and a compelling plot.
Any good fps or 3ps? Must be hd - ish and not railshooters. I have MC4, MC3, Nova 3, Blitz Brigade, Shadowgun (both) and Black Dawn
How is FiLMiC Pro? It has slow and fast motion along with quite a few neat features for 4.99. Is it worth it?
