Are you f'n serious?!? This is the third time my iPod has gone into recovery mode since iOS 5. All my problems better be fixed after the resore and update is done! However...I bet I'll get all the same iOS 5 bugs I got hit with last time. Sorry for the small rant, but gawww...I'M PISSED! Edit I wasn't so lucky this time around, and I lost all of my data for games. As of now, I'll probably never finish a lot of the games I have because I don't want to restart them. Ugh, I'm pretty upset (more frustrated), but oh well. I just got screwed up the rear by technology once again. I really hope robots aren't in the plans for the future.
hi.. i want and online strategy game on ipad which i hope lasts long.. i mean game period.. not 20 min or 1 hour.. 6 months maybe.. Something like Travian.. is there any?
Assuming you have everything backed up, you could always do a restore from backup (think that might work). Looks like a decent crop of releases this week. More fun quality titles this week than most but less titles in general. Probably means I'll buy more games
Yeah, i backed it up from the most recent syn, but it apparently only selected certain stuff to put back on my iPod. I'm pretty sure it's the stuff I had on it when I originally updated to iOS 5, but I've backed up my iPod since then, so I don't know what went wrong. Last time this happened I got everything back. It's more so frustrating because I made a ton of progress in games this past week. Yeah, I'll be getting Streetbike, Super Crate, and Lunar Racer.
Touchgrind BMX for sure. ---------- Looks like I'll just be getting Super Crate Box and Lunar Racer tonight for $0.99 each. Not too many releases, but that's probably a good thing xP. Expecting releases to pick up again in a week or two.
Hmm...about how long ago did you update to iOS 5, and how long after you updated did this start? Because I made the update yesterday and my device is running smoothly.
I updated to iOS 5 the first hour it was released in my time zone. The first time it happened was while I was doing it, but the overall consensus was that it was a f*ck up with mass overload or something...I don't really remember. I just know it happened to quite a few people. The second time was shortly after, but I got everything back. The only thing was that I got a a bug riddled device after. Today was the third time and my phone is running smooth so far, but I lost all my progress in games so... Edit Even with all the stupid bugs, I still really like iOS 5. The only things that really peeve me off are a very slow Game Center and the battery bug. Hopefully I didn't get it this time. I haven't actually been paying attention since I re-downloaded iOS 5.
Hmm... i think my device hasn't flipped out--or has yet to-- because I made the update way after the initial traffic and stuff. But at least I now know what's in store for me if my device does start flipping out.
Haha yeah... I think most of my problems came with 5.0.1 like LOLavi said. A lot of things Apple related run together nowadays. D@mn, that sucks! No one should be able to say that Apple is smoother than Android nowadays. The reason that Android was so laggy was because all of the things that they were incorporating into the OS plus all the stupid skins. TBH, I never had problems/lag as bad as what I'm having on my iPod on Android. And after more a little more than 2 years, Apple still hasn't fixed the infamous YouTube problem.
Yeah, my YouTube has been splotch since my 3GS. Pretty much it'll take a lifetime to buffer at random times, and it's always slower than other mobile devices. Also other video sites, such as Dailymotion, always stream perfectly fine. YouTube on iOs has actually made me use Dailymotion a ton to watch videos that take ages to buffer, which sucks because I'm not a huge fan of the site and user interface. And it's not due to site overload because it occurs at random times and works fine on other devices. Also, it seems as if certain videos just like to load slowly on the iOS YouTube. Plenty of shorter lengthed vids like to buffer slower than longer lengthed ones.
Yup! Both are definitely good. If you want the typical GTA console experience then go with GTA 3. However, I personally prefer Chinatown Wars.
