Fall of Angels is great, I highly recommend it. Bastion has 2 control mechanics; one tap to move/attack and the other has a movement pad on one side and an attack push on the other. Well worth $0.99.
Oh good old twewy, If you like rpg with a distinct Japanese influence than yes... It never really appealed to me, but then again the only jrpg I liked was dragon warrior(later dragon quest) but it was more like an open world western rpg with a jrpg battle system thrown in...
For what it's worth, the only Square rpg I've played that I didn't get tired of and quit or find myself struggling with the grinding just to make it through.
Looking for a good (inexpensive; preferably free ) app to change color videos to black and white. Already have iMovie for iOS, but it doesn't seem to have any effects.
I asked this same question a week or two ago when the $12.99 sale started. People here convinced me yes. I owe them a big thank you. I'm about half-way through (I think), and boy am I loving it. Highly recommend so far.
I just started The World Ends With You and can recommend it also. I was initially turned off by the angsty characters and clichq uber-modern urban cool design but once it gets going it's a lot of fun.
+1 Granted, I've only played the DS version, but -- and I've played a lot of RPGs in my 41 years -- it's one of the best, freshest RPGs I've played in probably the past 10 years. The gameplay is like candy, and the story is very, very deep. It might seem like another Square-teen-angst-spikey-hair romp, but there's a meta story going on that is very compelling.
I assume you've already played Galaxy on Fire 2 (the most popular arcade style 3D space sim). Acheron Prime is on sale for $0.99 (from $4.99); I haven't gotten around to playing it yet but it looks promising. There are many good non-3D 4x style strategy games (Starbase Orion, Ascendency, Spaceward Ho, Star Trader RPG).
Any good games for a hardcore infinity blade fan? I played horn and loved it, and blood and glory is too much of an IAP-riddled ripoff of IB...so any others?
Rage of Gladiator? It's more like Punch Out and it came out before Infinity Blade on the Wii. I'm only half way done and its pretty fun.
There's Avengers:Initiative - basically a copy of IB, but there are a few differences, like different characters to play (so far, Hulk and Captain America). There's a free demo version to try it out.
