Mass "What Should I Get?" Thread (2012 - 2017)

You mean like a RPG with multiplayer? Don't know of many good ones atm, but Pocket Heroes is coming out this week. (turn based RPG that only has online play)

 

Does anyone have the full versions of Henry and the Psionic Overlords, Yipe!5 or Uniwar? I am considering buying them but I would like another person's opinion before I do.

 

Uniwar is a great turn based strategy. Specifically geared towards online play (offline play isn't that great, the AIs are a piece of cake once you get used to the game). But online play is awesome; 1v1s, 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s, and FFAs. =]

Definitely worth the buck if you enjoy strategy games.

Meh...

I was really looking forward to this one going on sale. It's okay, but there's this pervasive feeling of a shakedown. You don't need IAP to get through the levels, but it sure is encouraged. Controls aren't great. Instead of going the Extraction (which had excellent controls) route, you're required to continuously tap on enemies to attack. Hit detection is a recurring issue, and often when you tap on one target, your dude(s) will target something else. Lastly, though the game tries to be cute, it comes off like it's trying too hard.

It's a decent game, but it could have been a lot better in my opinion.

 

Just bought a $15 iTunes gift card.. Any recommendations?

I was thinking The Amazing Spider Man, Dead Trigger, or Max Payne.

Any of those worth it? Any other suggestions?

Max Payne runs smoothly on my iPhone 4S plus the story is addictive so I recommend it, I recently bought Spiderman and it's OK even in my phone lags a little but i'ts a great game overall and Dead Trigger.. meh it's just one dollar but if you want to have a better experience you have to spend at least other 4 or 5 dollars...

That's because the game is huge...

Its worth the money though.

 

But gta 3, has a smaller file size, and wouldn't it be a bigger game?

 

Im on the fence about Tower of Fortune. Judging from what I've seen, a lot of people like, but I am not sold on the screenshots. Is it something I can pick up and play casually but also be engrossed in?

That describes it perfectly! I'd say grab it, it's a fun little game that I still play in quick spurts.

Hey, how does Max Payne run on 3rd gens?

 

It has a very similar appeal as Dungeon Raid. It's a pick-up-and-play Slots RPG. Very good game, tiny file size, creative and fun.

 

Are there any good display recorders on the app store? Something that record what's on screen is good.

 

Display Recorder. Massive lag though, a capture card or display recorder from cydia are much better.
