Has anyone played Gameloft's Rainbow Six? Should I get that? I like their games. But I played there Assasin's Creed. ## Both are pure Ubisoft games. I played Splinter Cell: Conviction. I thought it was horrible. But most their games I like. Thanks in advance.

Hey buddy, I have you covered because The Quest is one of my favorites too :) I highly recommend Undercroft if you want something just like the quest. The only other game like these 3D RPG Crawlers is Descend, which is a beautiful game but has some really brutal mechanics (very little equipment and hunger will kill you) and in my opinion the world feels empty and superficial. Also, keep your eye out for Legend of Grimrock which might come out to iPad soon after the success they had with the PC version.

Welcome to TA! Good luck finding your new poison.

Cthulu Saves the World and GibsNGlory for me tonight. Considering Spider-man but I'll wait for impressions first.

And everyone needs to give Kiloo Games a download of Frisbee Forever 2. Amazing game!

Anyone got any recommendations for a good top down zelda-esque RPG with a great story?

I loved the gameplay and graphics of Mage Gauntlet but I want a really epic in-depth story to go with it. Any ideas in mind?

Ditto to this. I am getting Cthulu, Frisbee 2, and I will only get spiderman if the masses will it.

Yay, loudly resonating if it's on sale.

Just don't expect a full-fledged open-world RPG directly transferred to mobile (that's Bard's Tale). Expect an RPG developed with the target device in mind, and you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.

What are some great unknown games that have been released this year, like games that are totally under the radar?

Very good overall, but I had to change the gamescreen size for last stages, as the controls got in front of some crucial points.

If you're even slightly intrigued by the screenshots and description, I would say go for it. It's one of the most highly polished games on the App Store. Controls are super intuitive and the visuals are through the wall. Really great game overall.

iNethack is awesome, so is Slash'Em. Don't get iNethack HD, it's nowhere near as powerful an interface as the iPhone version. Just scale it up 2x and start piling up your sorry corpses, lol.

If you want to play online—including DCSS!!!—buy RogueTerm from the same dev that did the others above.

Sadly, there is not—and likely will not be—an Angband port to iOS :(
    Boo....

Powder is really good, if somewhat cartoony until you change your default tileset. That one is free up to level 20, and worth the iap to register it if you're enjoying yourself.

Those are the *actual* roguelikes. There's also Endless Depths, but I'm not a fan. Give me the old-school, savagely difficult games any day!

PM me if you have further questions, dude. I LOVE roguelikes.

Sweet. It's a platformer right? How are the controls? Typical virtual d-pad and such?
