take a look here http://www.148apps.com/reviews/sword-poker-2-indepth-review/ http://wireless.ign.com/articles/108/1089851p1.html http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/sword-and-poker-2-review
But will it blend? (I've read the reviews and they say it's great but none mention if there is replay value, so is there?)
So I wasn't actively checking around for about three weeks now due to school/finals and vacation. What are some sales/new apps I should DL?
you have about 10 hours of gameplay and the online mode but i think it depends on how much you liked the game cause once the story is it is done theres nothing more to get besides start from the beginning again but just my personal opinion
Off appsafari So, not much, but still a little bit I believe... Also @Stan---one of the standouts (i haven't played it yet, bc i'm on 4.2.1 still, but will soon) is CrazyHedgy, what looks to be one of the best 3d platformers around, launch sale of 1.99. Sleepy Jack by Silvertree Media (Cordy devs) is also pretty good, a blend of tunnel racer and shmup. Also there's Ice Rage and Windup Knight. (haven't tried those two, have tried Sleepy Jack though). Of the sales: Groover Coaster, the usual gmaeloft and EA ones, Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing, Lego Harry potter, possibly King of Fighters, and some other odds and ends like NHL 2k, GTA III, Bean's Quest, RR2, and all Crexcent Moon games. (don't own some of the later ones).
@Stan Wind up knight is worth a try and about ice rage it is nice but more a 1vs1 on one device , i think theres not more than oe mode and that is actually the sme game over and over against the AI (or am i just stupid?)
If I never got into the books or movies is Lego Harry Potter still a worthy game? Can someone elaborate on the appeal speaking strictly gameplay? Also, does Puzzle Quest 2 remain relevent in a swarm of clones or has it been outdone by Dungeon Raid et al? Aside from the multiplayer, is the single player essential? Thanks in advance.
Also is there a reason to own both Sword & Poker games or if I get Sword & Poker 2 will I have the definitive product?
I have Sword and Poker 2 and love it. There's not much replay value in it but the game itself takes quite a while to complete (at least for me it has and I'm not anywhere near finished with it). And if you like S&P you should pick up Poker Pals ... it's a similar game plus it adds multiplayer support.
Hey guys the App Store lock has been lifted! Updates and price drops are starting to trickle in. Which begs the question: Are their any NZ releases worth getting?
yeah, Ice Rage is fun, but the only replay value is the same device multiplayer, and the different characters. There are only 6 total characters (3 each team)
tune sync is absolutely flipping awesome. So much easier than having to copy stuff to my mac from an external everytime. Its a free mac app I read up about where you can move itunes media (movies, tv shows, music) to externals and it will play on itunes when you plug that external back in. I normally had to go through the pain of copying the movie into itunes, then synching to a device if I wanted. You have to check it out if you store itunes media on externals.
Should I buy Bean's Quest? Need to know quick, since the sale will be over in five or six hours. Is there enough content now, and is it a lot of fun? Can i get three (ish) hours of enjoyment out of it? Thanks!
Bean's quest is fun and made my nominations for GOTY! I don't know about content - depends on how much you are interested in getting optional objectives. If things like getting less than the required number of jumps, collecting "coins" and collecting optional Axolotls (don't ask) appeals to you, there is WAY more than 3 hours content there. If not... I don't know, because that's all I spent doing in the game, lol.
Unless you obsess over three staring/perfecting a level, no you will only get about an hour or so. But it is one of the best hours of platforming out there, and I suppose continuously trying to decrease the amount of jumps gives it decent replay value. It is one of the best platformers though and is polished all round.
Can anybody recommend some good RPGs that support 2nd gen devices? I just finished Zenonia 3 and it's a bummer that it's sequel is for 3GS and up only. T.T Any type of RPG will do as long as it has 2G support. Please and thank you! n___n
