I definitely agree with the top 2 but I can't believe they put Mos Speedrun on the list and not LoE. Kami Retro should've been a little lower. Mediocre list. A lot of titles were left off (FF3, Frisbee Forever, League of Evil, Mission Europa)...
LOE and mos both deserve to be there. and they left touchgrind BMX, WoG (iphone, cause that's what the list is), and battleheart off as well. and bumpy road. and they put some freemium shit on there. but other than that, I thought it was okay. and maybe ff3 too... but i never bought that so I can't say. but missions europa never even got a review from them so..
Yep WoG, League of Evil, BMX, were some pretty major oversights. I think we don't see to many RPGs because of their lack of mass appeal, unless they are groundbreaking like Aralon. But then again, I never liked RPG's either.
I liked their lineup of games, but not the order. Why is Kami Retro that freaking high? Touchgrind BMX should be on there for sure. World of Goo came out last year for the iPad, so I'm guessing they didn't bother including it. Battleheart and Final Fantasy III should have made the list as well instead of the Heist, Hard Lines, DJ Rivals, all of which I don't think should be there in the top 20. Not too bad of a list though like I said.
yea, on twitter they said WoG wasn't included cause the ipad one came out last year. and they gave battleheart a 3/4.
Just bought diablo dice and jet car stunts yesterday, and two of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Already put in 3 hours or so in Diablo, and played like 20 levels in Jet Car. Don't know why I never bothered to even look at a review of it before. Still looking for some turn based games if you know any.
Maybe... is it a turn based game? Should have added that I'm looking for turn based multiplayer games mostly.
Agreed. The lineup of games is just about accurate, give or take a few, but the rankings are really bad in my opinion.
Hard Lines totally deserves to be there. Fantastic throwback to Snake/Lightcycles. Tiny Wings it seems is there because of its popularity, which is kinda thanks to luck rather than the game itself being amazing. There's no point in giving people a list of games they probably own, tell them about the fantastic games that didn't get a chance in the spotlight.
Can anyone suggest a good poker game? There's about a million and a half of them, I don't know which to go for.
Yea Hard Lines is just The best snake game ever!! And that's a very good point! Take Tiny Wings and Ab Rio off! Put FTS etc.
Things have been so slow in new releases the past few months, I have been going back and getting some of the the bigger games I missed in the past year or so. Just bough Mirror's Edge, Helsing's Fire, Rage HD, Monster Dash, Hook Worlds, Jet Car Stunts, Mahjong elements, Pix'n Love rush, and UNO yesterday and today. I'm thinking about getting: Edge A good baseball games? Sonic games any good? Battleship (even though no online and apparently no full retina) Ultimate Mortal Combat (liked street fighter, but not sure if it still feels like a major downgrade in comparison) Monopoly or Life Labyrinth 2 cut the rope (yeah don't even bother commenting on this)
Edge is a very unique game, I haven't played anything similar to it in the App Store. Definitely get that. As for baseball games, hurry and get 9 Innings right now while it's on a .99 sale. Best baseball game in the store, in my opinion. (Not much to choose from in the first place though)
