I think the Thief Edition is more fun, but there's alot more content in the new game. The assassin was always the most fun class to play.
If you have a friend to play with, then definitely Trenches. S&S is an excellent game though. However, if you have an iPad, I'd definitely go with Trenches.

I like the redundant weapon animations and various effects in the game, different game modes like salvo and super weapons are more fun and faster to play than normal.
No online support though, only local wi-fi/bluetooth/hot-seat. It was still a blast when I randomly sunk my friend's submarine with a vertical 5 square attack :D (super weapon)

Is it just because of the class that Thief Edition is more fun or is it because the controls are better or the gameplay harder?

Wow really, no online. That is a major fail on EA's part. I'll leave it for now as i am really trying to increase my turn based games folder, which as of now consists of disc drivin, scrabble, and words with friends.

Is Puzzle Agent 2 worth $4.99? The first one was great, but I've heard that the 2nd one, while having a good story, has had numerous technical problems including crashing and problems with the audio. Has this been fixed?

So turn based 'games'? Not strategy?
Although Battleship has no online, the game is so much better when you're playing with someone right next to you. Perhaps this can be mimicked with voice chat if online becomes available?

Oh and lol there was once when me and my friend got confused with the hot-seat system and ended up hitting our own ship placements :D My friend's superior short term memory trumped me in finishing his own fleet before I damaged 75% of mine... This is something you can't have in online matches :D

Haha, true true, but as it is, I really don't have enough friends who play iphone games to really care for local multiplayer. And yeah, if there are a few games I was never interested in, it's RPGS and RTSs and strategy games in general. Although I might be willing to set my foot into strategy if one ever comes along with enough mass appeal, but never for RPGs. You know any good clones of battleship with online? Or any other good turn based game for that matter? Maybe a good strategy online game with simple and and easy enough for someone who never got into them to enjoy?

I create awesome paper airplanes that I will sell
    Here
Hate to say this more than once, but I'm revising my post since previous times as my Appshopper wish list changes . I need a few more opinions on some apps....here they are: Aralon, Fishmoto (how many levels and such?), Pocket God JTU (not sure how much content there is), 9 innins (don't like the graphics much...) RC Plane (content that comes with it) and Diversion. I'm guessing by now that MMM (max and the magic marker is a must, not some MMA clone) is a for sure. Also: any recommendations? I'm not sure on a lot of good buys (e.g. I don't have a lot of paid apps)

    No to battleship clones.
Lots of ppl will recommend Carcassonne for online tun-based fun, though the lack of violence does not appeal to me :D.
Neuroshima Hex would be my turn-based board game of choice. The devs are currently implementing online play and it's generating some hype amongst players in the forum. Some may complain the rules are complicated but I beg to differ.
Are you talking about RC Plane 1 or 2?
RC Plane 2 has quite a lot of IAP contents which range anywhere from giving you 1 plane for 0.99 USD to 1 extra game mode with 2 planes for 1.99 USD and every combination in between. As the dev explains the IAP system is to 'allow players to unlock what they want'. Feel free to skip any that you don't like.
The core flying experience is fun though, a lot more 'casual' than X-Plane. The controls needs some work though the devs have confirmed updates will come to improve them.
Personally I love the game. It's less hardcore than X-Plane and offers fun and fast flight sessions.

There's a Battleship clone called FleetMaster, which has online multiplayer through GameCenter and is currently free.

The same dev also has a Connect Four clone called Blast4 with GC multiplayer that's also free right now.

Saw it and had it, but it has the five blasts per turn which I did not like. Plus I'd rather buy something with no ads as these games will be on my device for a looong time.

Just got the light. I'll give it a go and buy it later if I like it. As for carcassonne, I had tried it, but it never appealed to me. Never even knew what I was doing and never bothered to try.

From what you listed, I can safely say Aralon and 9 Innings are must buys right now. And just in your luck, both of them are on sale, as well.

The problems have not yet been fixed. If you are willing to pay the extra money to play the game without problems, I recommend buying it from the Telltales Game website for your PC/Mac.

??? Great games that doesn't drain battery? Angry Birds? From what I know simple graphics + less action = slower battery drain. Oh and what about Tiny Towers :D

KoF depends on how much you like fighting games in general and if you enjoy its core gameplay. It's a lot faster than Street Fighter games, has longer (if you can pull it off) and more flashy combos, and overall plays a lot more aggressively than SF. No online as of yet though. More 6 more characters are planned before October this year (for free).
I like it better than SFIVV, which was a bit on the 'slow' side and involves more tactics than aggressive attacks. Plus you can enjoy KoF with button mashing on lower difficulties and still occasionally pull off random combos :D
Graphics are detailed with very smooth animations.
The controls feel like a direct 'rip' from SFIVV's and some players have reported that it works better than the ones in SFIVV.

I got FishMoto and btw, price dropped to 0.99$! It's really great game, one of the most challenging I've played! Hard, but fun! Diversion has a lite version, which you should check out first. Tried it, didn't quite like tho.

What I know, Hard Lines drains battery, haven't been focused on that myself, but someone said it does... Oh and for the hawaiian dude, here are some:

Bumpy Road - Great high-scoring game with only downside of 2.99$ price tag.
Mighty Fin - 3 Modes, 8 levels, fast, but great fun!
Storm in a teacup - 40 levels + 10 bonus + survivals. Fun helicopter type of platformer.
Coin Drop - Might drain battery, but gives fun for a while!
League of Evil - IMO the best platformer on iOS!
QuBIT - Amazing racer with match-color challenge!

Can't give out all of my games as this list would be too big, but those are some!
