I don't think this really belongs in this thread, but why is there a game discussion thread that is closed with only one post stickied?
Do you guys think Puzzle Agent 1 will go on sale soon? I missed out on the last sale because i was out of credit..
^ This If you just want a casual platformer there are better ones out there. If you like a hard challenge this would be a good one because of its concept. If you are OCD this game could eat up your life as you try to get the perfect run.
Yeah, I think it'll be on sale before the second one arrives next Wednesday. ---------- Nice line up of new games from Apple's featured list. Sonic Racing is game of the week; it definitely deserved it. It's already in the top 20 for paid games. Backstab is seventh on the list; that's pretty surprising. Gameloft games usually end up in the top three. But yeah, awesome week of releases. Looking forward to next week. P.S. Addicted as hell to Tiny Towersssss.
1-Bit Ninja is great, as expected, DARK is decent, and I have yet to get Backstab. Could someone please let me know if it is worth getting? The game release thread has very few impressions.
Backstab is actually quite impressive. Finally got a chance to play it. Just got through the first thirty minutes of the game. I thought I read somewhere that the game was level-based. It's not. The whole game is continuous, and there's quite a bit of free roam. There's more interactions with the environment available here than in any previous Gameloft games have had. The animations, voice overs, etc. are all still the same quality though: subpar. What I see in the game falls short of expectations after seeing those screenshots. However, the gameplay makes up for it. Fighting is quite basic, but it's quite a bit of fun. It's interesting that you have access to both melee and ranged weapons at once. Also, the story is actually GOOD so far. You can definitely tell that the game is very story-oriented after just a few minutes, which is a huge plus coming from Gameloft. There hasn't been to many Assassin's Creed/Prince of Persia/Shadow Guardian acrobatics/climbing so far from what I've played, which is good. That stuff gets repetitive fast. Last of all, I LOVE the premise. Pirates for the win. Anyways, assuming that the game doesn't go downhill from here on, I would say this is Gameloft's best single-player adventure game so far, surpassing Shadow Guardian, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Eternal Legacy, Sacred Odyssey, and Hero of Sparta 2 easily, and also beating out Dungeon Hunter 2, Spider-Man, and Gangstar 2 slightly. Impressed, recommended, and worthy in my opinion. It's nothing revolutionary, and I'm hoping the rest of Gameloft's 2011 games are even higher quality, but it's a good start to the quality I'm expecting from Gameloft's new games for the second half of this year. ---------- So, so freaking impressed with this week's games. Can't believe all five games I picked up last night hold up as must-haves. Vs. Racing and GeoSociety are two other pretty fun games on this week's featured list. But yeah, damn. Spent my entire battery on Tiny Towers while at work today, heheh, alternating with Disc Drivin', Hanging with Friends, and Words with Friends.
Probably gonna hold off on backstab for now. running low on space. Deadlock, 9mm, maybe march of heroes, PA2 next week so imma wait on that. See which ones are worth having. Good thing is I get extra long play time on the plane saturday, meaning I get to cut into my backlog a bit.
Hey everyone, I am looking to take advantage of the multiplayer aspects of a lot of my games but all of my real life friends are apple haters. If you are looking for a butt to kick in a game, just add me, Sanitymops. I use the same name in everything
i got $2 left of credit, i got all the good games from yesterday anything else that is worth while to get (either 2 99cent games or preferably a $2 game)?
