I didn't get to play Final Fantasy Tactics when it first came out, but I am a fan of the Chaos Rings series, mainly because of the great story. Can you guys explain what makes FFT so awesome and anticipated? I've never played an SRPG before either, so this might be my first! Also, are there any free comparable SRPGs I should pick up to get my feet wet while I wait?
Okay. I am officially disappointed. Do NOT get an iPod Touch with only 8GB... I can't buy Backstab nor Sonic cause the file size is too big! Heck I can't even update FTS! Gotta buy 1-Bit Ninja and D.A.R.K only, or wait few hours for new & noteworthy to update.
Awesome week "next week Deadlock, FFT AND PUZZLE AGENT 2" "wait.... WHAT?!?!?" *godly illumination* Most beautiful day of my life Here AppStore, this is my credit card, just give them to me NOW.
Hows backstab guys?? I'm downloading right now I'll probably get DARK too, and 1-bit ninja, and tiny tower too after.
I really want Sonic Sega Racing. I'm gonna do a stupid move and remove Icebreaker Hockey even tho I passed the game, it's still fun. Oh well, adding it on AppShopper wish list, if it gets update I download it from purchases.
I might actually delete Plants vs Zombies! I'm not that interested in zen garden or the mini games. The campaign was amazing tho.
The problem is, the wave of games keep coming in! I'm not complaining trust me - it's a great mess to be in! You just KEEP spending because the quality of the average app is higher...so it adds up.
Sonic and Sega All-Stars racing is an awesome kart-racing game. I like the way you earn "Sega miles" and use them to unlock things in the order that you choose ie: can select which track or character to unlock next. Universal and with multi-player too! Was playing one level and it reminded me of 'WipeOut, with the narrow track, with drops to different levels and weapons. Highly recommended while it's on sale (Ends 25th June).
Okay so my brother is looking for the best way to spend his $10 gift card. Just list anything that you would get with a that credit. Also if you believe that he should wait a few weeks for releases that would be great to let him know. He likes any genre of game.
yup. 9mm was confirmed for June. And since next week is the last in june..... And I got sonic & sega racing, DARK, and tiny tower. I'll check out backstab's thread now, and get 1 bit ninja when I can find some 3d glasses. Do you guys know the price on deadlock, PA2? and I never heard of maplestory. What is it? On an unrelated note, leaving for china saturday morning. Won't have wifi till the 1st and then only a couple days. Then I come home for a day. and go to wifiless nerd camp.......
I'm planning on picking up DARK and Sonic Racing while they're on sale. I'm on the fence on 1 Bit Ninja and a bit less interested in Hills of Glory. They good but nothing too special. I'll wait for a sale on Backstab. Any thoughts on Continuity 2? I like how the gameplay looks but am not sold on the graphics/style. Anything else I left out from the new releases?
It is probably just me but 1-bit ninja is incredibly hard to play. You can't go backwards and you can't fix the camera to see all that wonderful 3Dness... I really suck at the game and after 45 minutes of failing the first level I deleted it off my iPod in frustration. If i hear they added the ability to run backwards so I can explore the level and have more control I will probably give it a shot again.
1-bit ninja is awesome for anyone who doesn't want another easy, boring platformer to walk through and finish within a day. The lack of a left walk button is entirely intentional and essential for maintaining both the uniqueness of the game and the old-school/retro challenge it provides. As I posted in the game thread, the aim of the game is basically to perform a perfect run in each of the levels. If you had the ability to go back and correct your mistakes, it wouldn't be a perfect run and the game would be incredibly easy. Most people would breeze through collecting every coin on their first attempt, it'd quite literally be a game killer. On the other end of the scale... it seemed like a good idea not to insta-buy DARK. Sounds quite average so far.
I agree, I posted in my first review of the game that it was an intentional mechanic to bring uniqueness to the game... It just isn't everyone's cup of tea. I am not a big fan of unforgiving games like Meatboy for example. I simply felt it was worth getting my opinion up here in case someone thinks the game is something it is not (like i obviously did) and purchases it just only to find they don't like it. I am sure there are a ton of people who love the game - I am just not one of them
Yeah I know what you mean. I wasn't just trying to argue you opinion, just making sure people knew that it's a core theme of the game and not just broken controls It is a pretty tough game.
