Admittedly... no. I haven't played them. But the entire game up until then wasn't very difficult at all and I got bored. Perhaps the Impossible levels are challenging but I don't think it's enough to put the game into my good books based on the experience I've already had.

Haha, okay. But if you ever go back to that game (truthfully, I haven't played it in a couple of months), then make sure to check out the Impossible Levels. :)

O_O You obviously haven't tried the impossible levels, from this post it sounds like you just played 10 beginner levels and got bored. Not hating or anything but I think you should give LoE another chance. :)

    and thesharkden BUY LoE NOW!!

Just checked my game, I've done everything with 3 stars and the briefcase up to about halfway through the Jungle levels. I may have a go at Impossible later tonight.

Yeah, at least try out the Impossible levels. And if you still don't like it, then... well, you don't like it :p

It looks very similar to Meteor Blitz and Space Miner. Anything that sets it apart from those two? How does it compare?

Effective Pokemon clone for it's worth. Can't believe it took this many years for one decent Pokemon clone to pop up on the AppStore. Check out the impressions in the main thread. Everyone is saying pretty much about the same thing.

    Excited for tomorrow's releasesssss.

I wont comment on Space Miner since I only played it a little before the music drove me nuts. Alien Space and Meteor Blitz are comparable in that both are good, just in different ways. Alien Space has a wider selection of weapons... 3 "light" weapons which are autocannon, a spread gun, and a laser weapon. Then it has "heavy" weapons like photon torpedos, rockets, missiles, a cluster missile, and another weapon which is like an energy beam that destroys whatever it passes through. All the weapons can be upgraded as you progress through the levels, as well as the ships hull and shields and stuff. The controls on the game are also spot on.

Alien Space stands out also because the enemies each use weapons like the player, and they maneuver around to shoot at you instead of just trying to ram you like in Meteor Blitz. They also have more weapons like a tractor beam and other stuff. It's also universal and plays really well on the iPad, Meteor Blitz has a separate "HD" game that's $5. =(

Screens looked promising but the forum thread practically shot it down in flames. Crashing, unresponsive, slow, blurry on retina devices, etc...

Well guys, I've been out of the whole iPhone gaming scene for around half a year, and I'm wondering what are some good games to buy? I'm going on a twelve hour plane ride soon, and I'm looking for some new apps to get. If you could, please don't suggest things like Angry Birds or the stuff by Gameloft, because I know they make great games. I'm looking for some lesser known games and cult classics, anything like that.
