Hot Springs Story/Game Dev Story (the former has more depth) would entertain you for hours. If your looking for TBS go Tactical Warrior awesome game.

I updated it with a few new ones since this is from 2-3 weeks ago, but I think it's pretty satisfactory now in my opinion. There might be a few games that are give and take, but these reflect my top games/preferences pretty well as far as iOS games are concerned. I started off with about 100 candidates and started cutting down from there. Also, I decided not to repeat games within the same series and just listed the best one in the series instead, but this doesn't affect the list much anyways. Enjoy.
@backtothis - Very solid list. However, I think Battleheart might be a bit too high, Real Racing 2 too low, and PvZ, Tilt to Live, and Fruit Ninja a bit higher. For these last 3 games, I do notice that your list is quite tailored for more hardcore games, but I still feel that PvZ, TTL, and Fruit Ninja should be a bit higher. Anyway, again, very solid list (with the exception of #16)
Forgot to mention that the list isn't ranked in any way. It's partly out of laziness, but I think trying to rank them would be close to impossible for me. Sorry, thanks though. Aralon is in no way my favorite iOS game of all time, heheh. Lol, I like Phoenix Wright!
I have to get back into PW. I found it a bit too 'slow' for my tastes initially. So I installed it on my iPad 2 again; lo and behold, it looks TERRIFIC on 2x mode Just got through the first case... forward ho!
Tilt to Live is up there, probably top 25-30, so it was close to making the list. Phew! I'm so glad that wasn't ranked. Problems: 1. HOW THE HELL IS PvZ #35!!??? 2. HOW THE HELL IS SWORD and SORCERY #20!!!!????? 3. WHERE THE HELL IS N.O.V.A. and PUZZLE AGENT???!!!!!! But like I said, good thing it wasn't ranked.
