I'm in the same rut. RR2 isn't on sale and have no idea if it WILL go on sale. I prefer a mix of arcade and realism, BUT also prefer the in-car (cockpit) or first person view in racers, which I understand most arcade racers don't have. Last and most importantly - I want to be a bit DISCREET while playing the game in public, specifically coffee shops I visit... lol. Tilt controls aren't really an option for me, so either a virtual wheel or swipe/drag controls are what i'm looking for. All this said, Hot Pursuit is very appealing but I don't think it passes in the above criteria. How about Asphalt 6, Fast Five or others?
Every single one of them passes all of the criteria besides NFS: HP. Get RR2 and Fast Five, which is a better arcade racer than A6.
Not RR2 and Hot Pursuit? Is Fast Five better (I heard it gets over quick... limited choices of cars, etc...?)
What racing game has the BEST sense of speed? Asphalt pretty much fails in that category so don't mention it. I've got Fastlane (the best sense of spd I've got), Synth Racing (obstacle course) and a little known eXtreme Formula (futuristic Asphalt with hyper-boosters , very cool). I've finished/seen all they've got to offer and is craving for more. Anyone got good recommendations? Preferably something with a (I repeat) sense of speed. Blur effects will be a priority
It's probably one of the least imposing space RPGs, it's been quite easy to learn and simple* but VERY fun so far. It's got a great arcade-y feel to it, so it's far more casual than offerings such as, say, Galaxy on Fire 2. *Don't let this word turn you off; I'm just saying that it's more intuitive than more complex RPGs Time for me to get the heck out of here and attack my backlog!
Are there any games on App store similar to Heroes? (turn based, upgradeable armies and structures, searching for resources, item, artifact, magic etc....) And Tower Defense, does anyone try? I think it's one of the most addicted TD games, along with PvZ.
I just beat Max and the Magic Marker. I would highly recommend it, but it's certainly a beat 'n delete kind of game. Good fun while it lasts. Which game should I tackle first to beat, delete, and free up a crapload of space: Sacred Odyssey or Shadow Guardian?
I am curious about this as well. My favorite game of all time is Heroes of Might and Magic IV and I would kill to get a game like that on my iPod. For those of you unfamiliar with the game - your army is represented by a hero on a horse that you move turn-based style to gather resources, find artifacts, and battle minions/other heroes. You use your money and resources to upgrade your castle in order to buy new spells and soldier types. Think of a more in depth version of Highborn with and RPG aspect. Please let me know if you know of a similar game.
