Anyone know any high intensity singleplayer action games? I've got DMC 4, 3rd blade & ExZeus (largely unknown on-rails shooter), but I'm prepared to move on to more intense stuff . Just to clarify, I'm looking for an action game. Other genres are welcome, but not a priority. To be specific, the game should have: 1. Fast gameplay (overall speed of actions carried out in-game) 2. Simplified controls/not too much buttons (iPhone DMC 4 should be as far as it goes, no Street Fighter) 3. Ability to chain simple combos/moves or create custom combos if in-game ones are missing (copy, paste point 2) 4. Requires total attention from the player. Personal experiences include hard mode in bullet hells (CAVE, Danmaku), multi-ball situations in pinball, Bulletstorm (PC), Dissidia (PSP) and some extreme difficulty songs in TTR. 5. Personal request: plethora of enemies to kill, + violent/flashy graphical elements to support such massacre. Exclude games similar to Minigore. Sorry for long post & thanks for reading...
Hmm...A few that come to mind: -Puzzle Cosmos (3d tetris on steroids) -Babo Crash HD (a very hectic match-3 game which incorporates tilting and turning along with combos and massive powerups) -Tomena Sanner (basically a reflex/timing arcade game) -NOM: Billion Year Timequest (another reflex game, but much harder than Tomena Sanner) -Mr Space! (an arcade game that gets very hard very fast. It focuses on spatial recognition/finding the openings to move to without dying. There's a good lite version) -Valistroke (draw a line through each of the numbers on the board with an increasingly shorter time limit. You cannot cross over previously drawn-over tiles. Surprisingly fun) -Glypha (plays exactly like the arcade classic "Joust") -ReBounce (find a video for this one) -Solipskier (hard to explain, find a video) -BubblePets (arcade game where you look for the right animals and build up combos. Gets faster and more difficult as you go, of course) Accelerometer games: -The Incident -Sushi Boy -SuperBlox -Snail Mail -Skull Pogo maybe Icy Tower? I don't like the controls much but it is pretty simple and has a chaining system unlike most "jump" style games.
Yay Just got an ipad!!!Now what? Just got an ipad. What games should i get? I want games that are ipad exclusive or gives something new from the iphone version. Also games that arent talked about that much so no Angry birds or cut the rope, etc. So HIT ME WITH YOUR SUGGESTIONS and thanks.
Am not sure if this is your first iPad, but if it is, I am sure you will immediately find the larger screen so much better for gaming. At least I did. And if you are like me, you will not go back to the smaller screen for certain genres like FPS, racing, RPGs, on the smaller screen. 1. Tilt to Live HD IAP is on sale, make sure you get that. 2. Death Rally... again on sale, it's so much better on the bigger screen 3. Dead Space and Inifinity Blade. THey look gorgeous on the iPad 2 (Assuming you bought an iPad 2). 4. If you want a racing game, Real Racing 2 5. World of Goo on behalf of all the fans here... I myself haven't played it, but is on my wish list and will hit buy as soon as I am done with Aralon and Dead Space. 6. Aralon if you like a deep RPG 7. I personally love Gears. It's super-hard though. 8. And finally if you want a platformer, Mos run is in rage. It's a quaint little game, but I enjoy that on the smaller screen. 9. Am not a fan of Tower Defense, but Field Runners is nice. And there's a thread on the topic going around 10. Turn based strat games... umm Great Little War Game is quite a delight.
I'm looking for a good strategy game. My favorite one's right now are: 1. Great Little War Game HD, 2. PvZ, 3. Game Dev Story, 4, Trenches, 5. Starfront I think I need some more TBS games. Any good ones in mind? Oh and i remember reading somewhere on this thread that Red Conquest/Red Alert (can't remember which one) was a great RTS. Can anyone tell me which one you prefer, cuz they both looked great.
Since both Illusia & Samurai Girl are on sale, I'm wondering which one to get. I don't see too many "in depth" comparisons between both of them. Most of the comments I see is x is better then y, or vice versa, but no actual explanation of why... I tried Illusia Lite version and its pretty fun, but I can tell its going to be a big grindfest. It sounds like Samurai Girl offers more dynamic fighting (cause you can chain combos if your good enough?) Both games seems geared to entice people into IAP for items/money... It sounds like a lot of people like Samurai Girl, but the main complaint is cost of items (especially healing items) are too expensive.. I've played Maple Story on the PC for only like ~2 hours max and got bored... I'm actually kinda wondering if I'll get bored of either one of these games...
