Crimson Gem Saga, Ash, oh look the list is already over.. This is assuming that you already have Chaos Rings or have some reason not to want it. And yeah, Siege Hero is a fun game.
Crimson Gem Saga Ash Elven Chronicles maybe? Unfortunately, there are very very few decent jrpgs on the appstore right now. Most of them are grindfest action rpgs. One thing you could do, however, is jailbreak and get an SNES or GBA emulator.
What's the best match three-style game on the app store? (Besides Dungeon Raid, which I own, of course) I'm kind of in the mood for casual.
It depends on the style you're interested in. Do you want: -Tap to match -- like Collapse, the indie pc game -Swap blocks --swap two pieces to make a match, like Bejeweled -Draw lines -- similar to Dungeon Raid -Falling blocks - like Puyo Pop -Drag columns/rows - like Chuzzle i may be missing a type.
Thanks for being thorough! I am up for any type except falling blocks. I already have Push Panic!, Liqua Pop, Around the World in 80 Days, Kalevala, Bejeweled Blast, Piyo Blocks 2, and Dungeon Raid.
Hmm... a few from each category that I enjoy a lot: -Tap to match -- Warna (Puzzle mode), Smiles Drop, Doodle Germs, Gaia (I think the Xmas version is still free) -Swap blocks -- Babo Crash, Cool Puzzle, Puzzle Pond, Bumble Tales, Gemmed -Draw lines -- Bird Zapper, Cash Cow, Azkend -Drag columns/rows - Pet Shop Girl, Adubble Hope you find some you like there!
So...another horde of casual $0.99 games tonight..will get Army of Darkness for sure, and see what else looks fun. Lol the Nova 2 map pack DLC update is out, such a big download -_-. But yeah, does anyone see anything good? Hodapp will probably post his weekly Wednesday article soon either way.
Does not seem like there are too many releases coming tonight. Whetever happened to all those chillingo games announced a month or two ago. The only one I remember now is feed me oil (i think that is what it is called). It had the crayon graphics. There were like five-ten more announced that day too.
After playing Ogre Tactics on my friend's PSP my interest in good Tactical RPGs was rekindled. Are there any good games of this genre on the appstore. I know there are Battle for Wesnoth, War of Eustrath, Rogue Planet (? - though I am not a big Gameloft fan to say the least), Song Summoner Encore and Shining Force. I played Shining Force back in the old Mega Drive days and tried the lite version of SS. I quite liked some aspects of the game but its most innovative feature (creating troopers from songs and powering them up when listening to specific songs) kinda put me off. I am not much of a strategy gamer that is why I am looking for a strong RPG part in the game (you know like leveling up your unique characters, carrying them from battle to battle while a great story unfolds). I am not looking for a game with a sorry story that only exists as a poor excuse to connect single missions. To sum up for those who don't mind to read a long text: - looking for a tactical/strategic RPG with - a strong RPG part (leveling up, collecting items etc.) - unique and interesting characters - a great story - reasonable graphics - turn based combat (just to mention it in case sb. wants to suggest Battleheart )
I got warpgate HD for free while it was and liking the game so far. How much better is GOF2? Maybe I should buy GOF2 straight away instead of wasting time on warpgate? What do you think?
I just got Pew Pew 2 and it is awesome. I can't imagine there being a better dual stick space shooter out there, is there?
jaaaws: Rimelands is good, and you might want to put Palm Heroes on your wishlist (currently $5, but goes down to $1 periodically...) I know you said you're not as much into strategy, but Battle for Wesnoth and The War of Eustrath are games you might like, due to the story and RPG depth.
I'm looking for an iPad game which makes me laugh, and doesnt take itself so seriously. Something with great characters to make me smile while im at home sick
I enjoyed "Who's That Flying?!" a lot because of the character and overall art/personality of the game. Birzzle is a great newcomer if you enjoy puzzle games - has nice visuals.
