I loathed Monkey Ball with a burning passion. This is the second ball roller I've bought, and I only got it because of CM's involvement. It is extremely polished, and it made me think twice about my lack of interest in the genre. If you hate all games like this, you may still like this game, but I won't make you any guarantees. If you still like some games like this, this is (one of?) the best. Three reviews that sum up my feelings for the game: http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/28/gears-review/ http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/gears-review http://www.touchgen.net/gears-review Hope that helped!
For $1, it's a really polished game with amazing visuals (which is the main reason I bought it), but playing Gears has really reminded me why I dislike ball rolling games in the first place.
Couple of Qs about order and chaos, does it have any non-combat skills? Also, what about the levelling system and combat. Thanks
Yes, the skill tree is very, very extensive. The leveling system works like it does in every RPG. Combat is very similar to the combat in Aralon.
So basically hack n slash? And skills help add to leveling up, I assume. I heard something about paying for a premium account subscription after the three months for purchase is up, is that just the 1, 3 and 6 month ones in the IAP?
Basically you target an enemy, and use melee attacks or skills/spells to defeat it. You can play for free, but with limited features. Premium account is the way to go, trust me.
If I were you. I would save up on Zenonia 3. It has a much better graphics, gameplay, armor & weapon variety, sound, character, and storyline. BUT if you rather choose between Third Blade or Inotia 3 because it is going on a sale this weekend I would choose Inotia 3 because I really do love RPGs related Zenonia in anyway. The storyline is pretty decent, a lot of weapons & armor variety, worst graphics in seen in the Inotia series, and great gameplay though, but if you like hack and slash type of RPG where you just want action and no chit-chat I would recommend Third Blade to you.
Won't this list grow in the hundreds every day . You got all of the more polished ones I can think of off the top of my head though. Hey whats the best emoticon for sarcasm?
Hey my cousin got a new iPod touch. I'm trying to help her get started with good free apps (all she has are lites and stuff) I've told her about a few good ones, (Bug Heroes, Rogue Runner, etc.) but I'm trying to think of all the other good ones. So what are some good free apps for her?
Sooooo So, which of these choices? Samurai Girl, since I loved Illusia? or Z3, since I liked Z2? or Both?
He already has. He was wondering what other people thought. ____ I am pretty sure Dizzypad is free. Doodle Jump: Hop, Angry Birds Rio Free, Any Tap Tap Revenge, Pew Pew, NinJump, Topple, Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift, Godfinger All-Stars, Mega Jump, Pocket Tanks, Waterslide Extreme and Chop Chop Runner are all good games. Edit: The Creeps is also free.
The Quest is one of the best RPGs I have, really an appstore gem imho. I have the Gold Edition plus some other mission packs, all worth every penny. If you don't mind the retro graphics and turn based combat system it is really worth trying out. Lite version is available.
