Broken Sword I think took me around 10 hours. I used hints quite a bit though, so if you play without, it should take you more than that. I'd guess from 11-13 hours without hints.

EDIT: Ok maybe I was thinking about the completion %... Wow, I'm an idiot. I can't remember, as I just remember being sucked into that game. And star, where are you in BASS?

Lol yeah, I can't remember clearly... I might be thinking of completion percentage. Either way, it's not a short game. I didn't put it down so it lasted me a few days, which is good for an adventure game. It's longer than BASS, and better, I'll say that much.

In case you didn't see the edit, where are you in BASS?

Well, I enjoyed it more. And I really liked BASS too. Both were fantastic, but Broken Sword takes the cake hands down. Better storyline imo. It really turns out to be a lot bigger than you'd expect from just the reason this game started.

Hmm... you just kicked the girl out of her position and to the radiation place? Yeah, you're not far at all lol. Keep playing, it's worth it.

Oh wait a sec... I know where you are now. Ok, you're not too far into it, but it's not like you're nowhere. I'm just trying to remember exactly what to do after that... crap it's been a while since I played that game lol.

no. i am past that. that happened a while back. i have already been to the lower level floor where Reich's room is. searched it. bought a ticket at the travel agency shop. gave it to lamb and he let me have a "tour" then let me past the worker at the conveyor belt.

And so you now have access to the radiation place? Hmm... can't remember the specifics. It's been a long time like I said.

The story gets better in this game, trust me, but it kinda just drops off at the end... the ending I'll say was a bit of a bummer. Not like Cloverfield (which had the stupidest ending ever), but it was like "WTH! They could have done so much with this and they didnt!". It feels like they ran short on time and just gave a quick ending to sum things up. Broken Sword, on the other hand, doesn't have an ending like that (and was actually really cool) and the story picks up a bit more quickly.

    about BASS: that sucks
    about Broken Sword: thats awesome

i love games with a good story cuz they really suck you into the adventure. i prefer those type of games over doodle jump type games where there is no background info...

I'm glad I'm not the only one... Storylines have made my favorite games what they are, like MGS and Crisis Core.

As for BASS, it's really cool too. Once you find out what LINC really is and what it's up to, it gets awesome. But that's pretty much where it ends. The climax was cool, but then it just kinda falls off a cliff. Too bad, because it felt like it was beginning the climax, when it was actually the resolution. The rest of the game doesn't have a terrible story though, just not like Broken Sword.

Alright guys, i have 8 bucks left. Do you guys prefer GT Racing or NFS Shift? I already have NFS and i like it. Do you think it's worth buying? If not, suggest some other games. ;)

Idk, I havn't played GT yet. I have Shift and it's a really good game, but GT is much more of a sim from what I've heard. If you're into that kinda game, I'd say go for it, as everyone says that it's really good, but I havn't played it myself.

And GTA's on sale for 7 bucks this weekend. I'd say pick that up, even though I havn't played it yet. It's surprisng how many people like this game, so if you don't yet have it, go for it. I just am not able to get it at the current time, so that's my excuse.
