When did 20+ fun hours not merit your moneys worth for something less than $20? I don't rush through games. I just delete them really quickly if they're not competent. I don't care if I just bought the game. If it's trash, it's gone. But, if it's a game I like, I'll take the time to play through it and enjoy it. I've spent many, many hours on quite a few games, but I really don't think any iOS games have single player experiences that merit a second playthrough, unless its score based or something like that. I can never resist draining a myriad of hours into multiplayer though. I've spent 500+ hours on just Dinosmash Online since April 2009. I get by pretty well and know which game deserves my time. But yes, when you find a market charging a dollar for 90% of its products, it's hard not to have a backlog of over 100 games.
thats a good way of looking at it i like your thinking however with me ive not got unlimited money at my disposal and in response to your first point i don't mind paying a bit of money for good games but games like ff3 and ME are good enough to warrant an extra play-through
It's good fun, we're discussing it here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=91590 It is NOT simply some mashup of Tilt to Live with Geometry Wars.
You just don't like the art style! Admit it. And yeah, Hyperlight looks awesome. @Hamster: well, console games cost $60 per pop. After being an old costumer of that industry, the iOS prices feel like a joke even with a new $15 giftcard a week.
It's no doubt a solid game. I had it on DS and the graphics are better on the iTouch(expect pretty much the same game though). There is an iPad version coming out this Thursday(which I will more than likely get for my iPad 2) if you have an iPad and/or iPad 2: http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/17/final-fantasy-iii-coming-to-ipad-this-thursday/
Tilt to Live, the best survival game on the iOS. You wouldn't know with your broken tilt . Sorry, below the belt I know.
I have $10 left...is Mission Europa worth it, even if it is just the normal ed.? I would get the collectors one, but I want the GoF 2 dlc tgats coming up... Or is it smarter to just buy the full ME and get GoF 2 expansion later?
I understand Mission Europa will release a free trial/lite edition (pay to upgrade from there) shortly so it's a great game but I'd advise waiting for now if you've got to be frugal. That will give you a chance to sample the game before making the investment (which I consider to be worthy).
