Kami Retro's pretty good, and only a buck. Beyond Ynth is better, but it's two bucks. The Christmas Beyond Ynth is free, so you can try the gameplay. Oh, and they're both part puzzle game, so they can get quite challenging. Hope that helped!
Another PSA: If you're on a Mac currently, snag Battle Bears for free in the Mac App Store! (The other one was that Gangstar MV will be a buck on the 6th)
Is Tactical Soldier any good? Did love Jagged Alliance in the past, seems to be very similar. Worth the asking price?
ok guys im still looking for a great game that will last me until sword and sorcery is released for iPhone/iPod. Here's my current favorite games to give you an idea of my tastes. -Mission Europa -Infinity Blade -League of Evil -Robot Wants Kitty -Final Fantasy III (except for the combat, yeah i know, that's a big chunk of the game.)
Ooohhh... LEGO Harry Potter will last him long past the release of S&S for the iPod/iPhone. Sooooo much content!
any impressions on zombie escape and city of secrets . I'm liking city of secrets lite version (i haven't really like point and click adventure games but the humour in city of secrets keeps me playing it) edit: just bought CoS . tell me whether you liked it or not.
Zombie Escape has a lite version, try that first. I decided not to buy the full one after downloading the free version. I'd like CoS impressions, btw
Well after playing for 20 minutes (had to stop because I have to study) , I must say CoS is certainly not like any other point and click adventure games . You'll never get stuck here because there are 2 different methods of helping you solving your problem , there is a logbook which shows the list of tasks (in case you forget) and there is another help button that directly tells you what to get / what is clickable . It's extremely witty and humourous which is why I'm still playing this game . The conversation sounds like as if the narrator is talking directly to you . It's like how writers keep their readers reading , by involving the reader in the novel . I'm very sure I didn't explain this point clearly , but you'll figure out what I'm saying when you try it . The last point and click adventure game i tried (Monkey island) , I fell asleep within 10 minutes . This one however is on a whole other level . Although I liked Scarlett for being humourous as well , I got stuck multiple times which put me off . Graphics are polished , frame rates very smooth . Considering the price , it's value could be a lot higher . I'd say , don't bother trying the lite version , get it now Seriously , don't try the lite version I can't believe I'm saying this , I love this game . p.s. don't forget the requirements , iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later
There's a thread on TouchArcade listing platform games. Do a search for the word platform and you should find it.
How does Guerilla Bob stack up to more recent twin-stick releases? I had it a while ago on a different account, so I can't re-download it. I have and enjoy: AoZ, Bug Heroes, Max Adventure, Meow Meow Happy Fight, and Minigore.
Guerilla bob is like minigore with a story IMO . Cannot compare with the later DSS but if you want something fresh i.e. a story, get it . it's like AoZ campaign but longer and not as humourous .
City Of Secrets is great if you love old school P&C Adventures. Haven´t had too much time playing it yet, but what i saw was awesome. Great musical score too. It feels a bit like Sam&Max but the humor is more on the subtle side. Any impressions on Tactical Soldier - Undead Rising? I´m on the fence with this one.
