@undeadcow: Civ Rev is as deep as it gets for TBS on the iOS if that means anything. I've many, many hours with the game. It's a ton of fun. Maybe you'll be disappointed if you're comparing it to the PC series, but it's a great game. @goose: You don't have COD: Z? Oh my goodness please grab it now. Dungeon Hunter is a pretty decent RPG, but it can wait since the sale is coming up according to Facebook.
What do you mean by hint? It's an official video from Gameloft. Also, the price drops in $1 intervals iirc, so we'll probably get a price drop no matter what happens.
Yeah... I was just being overly cautious and hadn't watched the video yet Looking forward to the drop... excellent news. Thanks for the heads up! Thanks!
The classic Amiga 500 game, Speedball 2 Evolution was released recently and is currently on a "happy hour" discount (according to the app description) for a buck Not sure how long the sale is going... Got pretty good reviews.
Should I get: Dungeon Hunter II when it goes on sale Collision Effect Across Age XD Apache Overkill (I heard it doesn't have a save feature, is that true?) Aralon I enjoy basically any type of game, however I need RPGs to have a fair bit of gameplay, and not just walking around, etc.
Aralon, Across Age DX, and Dungeon Hunter 2 are 3 of the best RPGs available on the iOS. Throw in Chaos Rings, Crimson Gem Sage, Wild Frontier, and Inotia 3, and you got the whole roster for the top iOS RPGs. There's definitely always something going on in all of them. It's never just walking around. The storyline of these 7 RPGs are also the best you'll find on the iDevice.
Ok, thanks. May I ask what the general gameplay style of Across Age is like before I get it? EDIT: @ crex: Yes.
Zelda. "Nuff' said" would be appropriate here. A 2D classic JRPG where missions are varied unlike KRPGs. Quests aren't just about fetching items and killing x amount of enemies. It's a ton of fun. Trust me. The gameplay time is around 15 hours if you're extremely talented or 20 hours if you're decent at games.
I've had a couple of games of Speedball now and it's fun. Only issue I've noticed (as reported by others) is that sometimes you throw the ball in an unintended direction due to the controls. I imagine the devs will do something about this in a future update, since it's come up a few times. If you played it on the Amiga 500 then it's a must buy. And it's worth much more than a buck!
hard decision.. I would say both. Phoenix is great for quick play and Assault Squadron is deeper in gameplay and scoring, having 3 different planes. If u like shumps u should save some cash (8.99$) and go for Dodonpachi Resurrection best shump ever!
Phoenix! I always thought AS was pretty bad. If you're looking for a level based shmup, definitely go for one of the CAVE games. Lightning Fighter is also very good. If you're asking are they worth the price, then yes. They're both pretty fun games. There's really no games you can compare them to since ... both genres are pretty lacking on the iOS.
