Dinosmash man, even after 18 months, it's still my favorite game. Definitely grab it for 0.99. I've bought 400+ paid apps since when it came out April 2009 and I still can't help but put in few hours a week.
it looks very fun but would you know if it still has a very active community? i dont want to get it if only a few people still play it.... also thx Matt. I actually have looked into alot of the games u mentioned but im waiting for a price drop on them since im cheap lol
so this has probably been asked a million and one times already, but if you could get one of the upcoming games, would you get : aralon sword and shadow real racing 2 nova 2. i'm only getting one and i'm honestly torn. each game looks good and each one has its benefits. do you think rr2 or nova2 will hava a better multiplayer experience. Which game is gona have the best single player experience?
Aralon, without a second thought. I was quite disappointed by Nova (childish, boring story; lame online mode), so i won´t purchase the second part. I´m a sucker for RPG Games, so RR2 is out of question for me atm. Here are my latest purchases: - Infinity Blade (Despite all the negative rantings, IB is quite a decent action game with light RPG elements) - Puzzle Quest 2 (The best Match3 on the iDevices, bar none) - Wander Cube (Haven´t had time to spend more time with this one, but it really is a devious, clever little puzzle game)
For the best singleplayer, I would say Aralon. For multiplayer, it's hard to say. Since RR2 and NOVA2 are different, you can't really compare. But since I have MC2 already, that'll fulfill my FPS multiplayer urges for awhile, so I would go for RR2. Though RR2 will be great for singleplayer gameplay as well.
best single player will be aralon. multiplayer? depends if you prefer a fps or a racer...both games will be very well polished with thriving multiplayer communities, so it really comes down to what you think you'll have more fun playing. i will probably get rr2 in a couple weeks and i think i'll be skipping nova, but aralon is a day 1 purchase for me and i'm really excited for wed pm.
Any games like N or Exit Path? Seems like they'd be a perfect fit for the iphone, but I haven't found any yet aside from The Impossible Game. (which was awesome btw! )
#1: Real Racing 2. Firemint makes quality games and no other developer has a good racing game other than them. Asphalt sucks, NFS is a joke, and I have yet to try GT: Motor Academy. Day 1 purchase for me. #2: Aralon. This and RR2 are pretty much interchangeable. I enjoy racing more than RPGs, so that's why this is #2, but anyone who enjoys RPGs over racing would definitely have these 2 games flip-flopped. This will also be a Day 1 purchase for me. #3: NOVA 2. FPSs simply aren't well suited for the iDevices. Some may get an enjoyable experience, but the small screen, cramped controls, and what-nots give me a horrible experience. As with all Gameloft games, campaign gets repetitive and boring, so multiplayer is really the only thing appealing about the game to me. Since that's the case, I'd rather just stick with the $1 Archetype or MC2.
Aralon Nova 2 Real Racing 2 I've never wanted a game as much as aralon. Besides something like Starcraft, this is what I've been waiting for since seeing what the iPod could actualy do. Nova 2 sounds excellent, gameloft fps have only got better with time and nova was my favorite after mc2. Real racing..when you have 33 racing games on your iPod..aka every racing game every mentioned as decent on these forums..yeah. Racing games alone take up 5GB with gt racing at 1.02 GB just by itself. Real racing 1 is good enough and the multiplayer is coming out this Thursday anyways. So yeah, I really don't have any more room or interest for another racing game.
The @#$%?! Dude, you should consider deleting most of those 33 games then. The majority of racing games in the App Store suck.
I find them quite fun lol, most of them even come with some sort of multiplayer. Top 5 are RR, GT, NFS:S, NFS:U, and asphalt 5. I like to play jet car stunts (not really a racer), enviro bear (not really a racer), super monkey ball 2 (not really a racer), reckless racing, etc when I'm up for something new. In any case though, I don't see myself buying anymore racing games/sports games on the AppStore. I have nearly every single one of both genres but can't say ive played most of them over 30 minutes. Just 11GB of space sitting there lol..Bad app collector habit. Even worse is that I buy the new years version of the sports game every year without even playing the previous version and delete the old version when the present years is out. So yeah, trying to fix my buying habits, one step at a time.
Aralon's going to be an insta-buy for me. I wouldn't hesitate on buying RR2 if it wasn't so expensive (for the app store). I'd wait for impressions on this one before I get it. NOVA 2-no. I would say RR2s going to have a better multiplayer. It can have up to 16 players, which I find pretty cool. FPS multiplayers-you can get your fix on Archetype.
Pinball?? Good pinball game reconmendation? Went looking for Pinball Dreams / Fantasies and they both seem to have been pulled from the App Store. Want something really along the lines of those two, good physics, simple gameplay, doesn't need any super-duper graphical additions, just a straightforward pinball game.
thanks everyone for the recommendations. since i have mc2 already, i guess i'll wait on nova. as for rr2 or aralon, its still a toss up. I'm not as big of a fan of rpgs as racing, since they rpgs usually get way to confusing for me, but everyone's saying aralon is gona be the best thing ever to happen in the app store. i mite just end up tossing a coin to see which game i'm getting
