Should I get Real Racing HD or wait for Real Racing 2 HD?

 

Real Racing 2 HD will probably be better.

 

Real Racing 2 HD will be much, much better, but you might have to wait a while.

 

Someone name a game new or old that is simple to learn and get into and has a bunch of unlockables or upgrades to get.

I have Doodle Army already and I love it, but looking for something else, perhaps not a shooter.

P.S. I prefer iPad only/universal

 

Hey Seishu, I'd recommend Red Star (port of the PS2 brawler/shooter/side-scroller) and Wackylands Boss. Red Star has a lot of gameplay time, and Wackylands Boss has a ton of customization options for weapons, armor, shoes, spells, and appearance. I'm not sure if either of them are iPad-oriented/universal though.

 

Well neither are universal, but they do have lite versions to try so I'll give both a whirl. Thanks for the suggestions.

Any one else have ideas for games with lots of unlockables or customization?

There is a lite version, and I think its pretty fun. Definitely a hidden gem.
Wackylands Boss is an awesome game, just what I was looking for.

No problem! I'm enjoying it a lot, but the framerate is just somewhat laggy sometimes on my iPod Touch 2nd Gen. However, according to Slide To Play it'll work better on newer devices: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/red-star-review (and they gave is a 4/4 Must Have rating too!). I still enjoy the game though, the lag doesn't really bother me.

The only gripe I have is that there is no checkpoint system and you have to complete each level to save your progress. However, there's three different guns, a melee weapon, armor, health, and numerous other upgrades. Plus, weapons, armor, guns, etc. change appearance after upgrade too!

Also, you can choose from two characters in the beginning, and you unlock the third warlock chick after completion of the game. I hope this info helps you guys!

Ahh, glad to hear some love for The Red Star. Trivia bit of the day: I was one of the programmers on The Red Star. I only wish the Xbox version would have eventually made it out. The graphics were better than the PS2 version.

Got $200 for my birthday- hit me up! Got most of the popular games, but havn't updated my game library much in the last month or two, except Lego hp.
