The battle of wits has begun! Also, considering a few on sale: 2XL Trophylite Rally Vampire Origins (which seems to be the closest thing to Devil May Cry I can find. And I love that game) Enigmo
Here, check this out. It's like combining the awesome and involved storyline of Broken Sword with the humor of the Monkey Island games. It's basically like taking two of the best adventure games in existance and combining them, only to make one that's just as good, if not better. Not only that, but it's almost like getting 5 adventures in one game, seeing as each case is like a whole adventure game in itself, each one that kept me from putting the game down until I had beaten it. Think about it: 5 adventures, each with the twists and turns of Broken Sword and the humor of Monkey Island. Just try to think of anything better than that. Oh yeah, it's a ridiculous value too. 5 of those adventures I described above, each basically for a dollar apiece. 1 dollar for an amazing adventure that will keep you from doing anything until you've beaten them. Would you really have that burger or fries or whatever it is you buy for a dollar, or a mind-blowing experience such as a Phoenix Wright case?
So, basically. PW = BS quality story + MI humor + absolutely terrible graphics... You gave me something to think about.
Let's try this again. PW = Broken Sword quality story + Monkey Island humor + Pretty awesome graphics that can easily be ignored without ruining the game + basically 5 games in one... I gave you a reason to buy it. Now go forth and press "Buy".
Blah. You can be very convincing. But I'm still not sure I can ignore those graphics. I'm disgusted by everything in that style. :/
Just because the graphics are crappy (in your opinion, at least), doesn't mean the actual game itself is. It's almost like saying that I refuse to play Doom because it's not in full 3D, or that Goldeneye was a crappy game because the graphics looked terrible and the guns sounded stupid. Appreciate the gameplay, not the graphics.
Well, there are two types of bad graphics in my opinion: - Graphics in a style one likes, but the quality of the graphics isn't good because it is an older game (like Doom)/developers didn't really care. - Graphics are in a style one doesn't like (like here, as I hate this anime-like style), so no matter how good quality they are, one can't appreciate that. In this case, depending on how strongly one feels about the graphics, they might ruin the game. Similar happened to me with Zenonia: I didn't mind grinding or not that great storyline, but the graphics really ruined the gameplay for me. Now I know, that the gameplay of PW is a lot better than Zenonia's, but the situation is similar.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Back when Dragonball Z Budokai 2 first came out (which feels like a long time ago), I was really put off by the graphics. Sure, it was the sequel to what could have been my favorite game at the time, but I was pretty turned off by the cell-shaded graphics. That said, I ended up giving it a rental, and I loved the game despite the graphics. In fact, I ended up liking the style after playing it for a while. Simply put, it's worth a shot. If your biggest complaint is that you don't like the graphical style, then that's one incredible game.
Mmm, you somewhat convinced me. I won't spend my money on it, though, but I will use the card from com2us to buy it.
I did get you to make the purchase, though. So I did, in effect, win half the battle. Also, if you get a bit bored with the first case, just keep playing. It's more or less big tutorial of how the court scenes work, albeit with a really cool story. It definitely picks up once you hit the second case, though. Just stick with it, and you'll be rewarded with one of the best storytelling experiences I've ever played through.
I'm thinking Modern Combat 2, mostly for the online. I've never played anything like it on the iDevice (although I've played something almost exactly like it on consoles ). It's hands down the best shooter I've ever played on the iDevice. If you're not really into shooters right now, I can highly recommend Gangstar. It's the closest thing to a console GTA game on any portable device (well, aside from Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories), and will keep you playing for quite some time.
While I don't have PW on my iDevice, I did play the game on my DS before and the whole sequence of events that occur in the game work out quite nicely for the whole storyline. If you wanna beat the game though, make sure you can think like a criminal.
anyone got a opinion on nanosaur 2 for £0.59/.99 i have bought a lot of game recently so i don't want to regret a purchase
