Mass "What should I get?" Thread 2011

Tis a sad day for the App Store.

 

i tried to find something about it on the interwebz and found a post endorsing it by the guy who did the music. the post was dated 18hrs ago...

i guess i've never noticed something leave the app store...

great game, though. it started crashing on me a few days ago...i was really hoping for an update.

 

Zenonia or Zenonia 2?
I want to grab before the sale ends but not sure which one to go for...
I've heard the controls of the firsts are worse but gameplay is better
Any help would be great (consider that the second is a dollar more expensive)

Which 99c app should I get?

 

Indecision is driving me crazy. I need help figuring out which sale games to buy before the sale ends. I already had NFSS, Assassin's Creed II, Real Racing, Pac Man CE Civ Rev, Driver, Spider and NHL2K. In the sale I've already bought Peggle Nights, 9 Innings Pro Baseball 2011, Soccer Superstars, Bookworm and Zombie Infection.

Games that I can't seem to make a decision on are:

FF1: I've yet to find a good standard RPG on my ipod that keeps my attention but I liked the original.

Mirror's Edge: Too short? Not good for 2g Ipod?

Star Wars Trench Run: Never considered it until the sale, but it doesn't look bad and the review are pretty good.

Archetype: I have NOVA and don't play it enough. If I purchased it I'd be a very casual player and am concerned I'd just get killed all the time.

Osmos: I'm worried that I'll get bored with it quickly.

Geometry Wars: I have a good amount of dual stick shooters already. Not sure I need another and I've heard the controls aren't all that good.

Castlevania: I like puzzles but don't want to pay for the name only.

Chuzzle: Bejeweled is probably all the match 3 I need but?

And last but not least, COD Zombies: I'm not sure COD Zombies is worth the price for me if the single player version is basically nothing more than survival. I'm not sure that I play multiplayer enough to justify the price. On the other hand, the reviews are awesome.

So any thoughts to push me in one direction or the other? I plan to probably spend in the ballpark of $10 more dollars.

Meow Meow Happy Fight - $.99 cents

plenty of levels that have hours of gameplay
its fun and addictive

 

So the sales is over in a day or two. Still couldn't decide on some games (CoD:Z, FF2), so... convince me please? Also what else is a must get? I want to stop buying stuff 'till one of the major RPGs comes out.

 

Phantasy Star II and Castlevania Puzzle at 2 bucks apiece. Good idea?

 

I'm thinking of buying PS II myself, but I'll surely skip CP.

Since you're on iPod Touch 2G, I'd stay away from Avatar. It tends to get slow-downs very often...

Without a doubt, Peggle will give you much more value and much, much more fun.

 

Ok, but if I buy it on my iPhone, I don't have to pay again to get it on my iPod do I? Because I don't want to buy it twice. And if I have to restore, do I still keep the DLC, or do I have to repurchase it?

 

You keep the DLC, but you'll have to redownload it from within the app if you decide to reinstall the game. You won't be charged if you use the same account.
