Definitely get both at some point. Aside from Chaos Rings (which I don't get why so many people seem to hate...), they're the two best RPG's in the App Store as of now.

That said, if you can only get one at the moment, I highly recommend Crimson Gem Saga. It's my absolute favorite iPhone RPG, and despite it not being very original, it does the traditional RPG system well. The story's decent so far (as opposed to an almost nonexistant story in Final Fantasy I), and the voice acting is well done. The game looks fantastic and after some bug fixes and tweaking it plays fantastically.

Like I said, get both at some time, but if there's no way to get both, go for CGS.

Sweet thanks. How is AC2, considering that it's a sidescroller?

Yeah thats what I thought thanks.

It's a great game, and one of the best side-scrollers out there, but it lags on older devices. In most games it wouldn't be enough to screw things up, but this game is extremely fast paced, and therefore affects gameplay quite a bit. If you plan on upgrading, it's a definite must have at the price.

Also, what should I get that's on sale? I just noticed that Antistar is half off right now, which intrigued me quite a bit. Seeing as all the zombie maps are now free, and that Hyrbid 2 is only $2, I saved quite a bit of money. I'm also considering Time Crisis 2nd Strike. For someone who enjoyed the first quite a bit despite its flaws and lack of content, is it worth picking up?

I think you have Crimson Gem Saga, but if not, definite must have. Otherwise the two Final Fantasy games are on sale, both great games at the price. I recommend the first over the second, just because it's easier to play overall, and kept my interest much more.

Both Monkey Island games are still on sale, so if you don't have either of them, get both.

Corporate Fury is still $2 I think. If you don't have it yet, get it.

Oh, and get Neuroshima Hex. Best board game on the iPhone, in my opinion.

I have CGS, great game indeed (BTW sad about the PGamer review for it), also got Monkey Islands. Corporate Fury is still at $2, but it looks like the mindless fun I'm not really looking for right now. I don't have any of the FFs, should I get both? If not, which one?

Thanks for the reply! : >

EDIT: Neuroshima Hex does look good, but with so many games on sale, I think I'll wait for it, it might drop a little.

    EDIT2: Was tired, meh. :D

Both Final Fantasy games are worth it, but I recommend 1 over 2 by quite a bit. I was never able to make progress in 2 since it was extremely ambiguous about what to do and where to go.

And at the price, Neuroshima Hex is a great deal. It has a bit of a learning curve, but the tutorial does a fantastic job explaining how the game works. I had no problem jumping into my first game and knowing exactly what was going on, aside from a few card effects since I forgot to check the deck stats for the army I picked.

Corporate Fury is a bit mindless, but there's a good deal of customization and stuff to do outside of fighting. It's a steal at $2, and if you have any money left over I highly recommend it.

Also, not sure if you have this already, but at the current sale price, COD:Zombies is a must-have.

Mm, so FF1 it is. Corporate Fury, if there's nothing better.
Neuroshima Hex does look good and worth the price, but there's not much chance of going up, but as boardgames aren't the most popular genre, there's a chance for it to go down.
COD:Z sounds good, how much tactics does that need?

Ok I have a little over 3 dollars on my account and I can't decide between "blue defense" or "BIT.TRIP BEAT".

There's a decent amount, although after a few rounds and the barriers are basically useless due to the huge number of zombies, it turns into more of an action game than a tactical one. Then again, it does involve much more tactical planning than most shooters on the platform do.

Okay, thanks! That's... $9 or $11 spent, what's with the rest? Any ideas for that?

Shyguy: Get Blue Defense 2 and bit.trip beat. Sounds logical to me.

Buy Spider now, save up a dollar for Hook Swing World over the course of the next month.

You said you liked rpgs right? You could try Zenonia 2. Now is definitely the best time to hop aboard and give that series a try.

Mirror's Edge is great if you haven't tried that yet.

Antistar is on sale for a buck and looks good. Gave it a download but haven't played it yet.

But seriously, you could go down that list of on sale apps and give just about any of them a download and you wouldn't regret it.
