Wow this is probably the most replies I have ever received from a question on this thread!

If a game gets up to 5 I will probably buy it.

Edit: had included an updated tally but realised starmonkey voted twice.

    Doing nothing of importance.

I've changed what I want to get a bit. I have about $10 total to spend (depending on how Hybrid 2 is priced at release), $5 now and the rest later. For now, I'm considering getting Corporate Fury and Shining Force, and another $2 game, and Zombie Highway looks pretty fun. I'm not exactly sure what I'll get with the rest of the money, but it'll most likely include either Castlevania Puzzle or Phantasy Star II. Any opinions?

EDIT: Just realized that Zombie Highway is only a dollar... I'll still stick with the same list despite that.

Haven't got any of those except zombie highway, but that's a really fun take on the go-as-far-as-you-can genre. Really hard though, but that's good because it makes for short game sessions and loads of room for improvement.

I know you said not me, but there hasn't been a reply yet, so here's a mini-review....

I feel Hoppy is a really great game because it is so fun, yet so simple. Now, I know pretty much any casual game is simple yet fun, but Hoppy is definitely the most streamlined game there is. Controls are extremely easy- you can either choose the tilt function, or the touch function. To me, touch is the best. Hoppy is by no means a game you submerge yourself into for tens of hours. There are no achievements, no level-ups, no bonuses the longer you play. There are no customizable things in the game; it's just you against a variety of opponents, with a couple power-ups along the way. These power-ups are also quite simple; they increase health, increase points, or lets you go into 'Payback' mode where you can crash into other balls and destroy them instead of hopping over/under. Again, these power-ups stick to the game's overall simplicity. Scoring is also quite simple. Hop over an opponent ball for 100 points. Hop under for 200 points. The only thing in depth for Hoppy is its high score leaderboards. You have unlimited local leaderboards, online leaderboards, AND you can post your scores onto Facebook.

If you like even just one casual game out there, you definitely should get the game. If you only look for in-depth games, this is definitely not for you. Nevertheless, even if you fall into the latter category, I still encourage everybody to try out the game, because I really have not played such a fun game that is so simple but also extremely polished.

I said that I didn't want you to answer because I already knew what you were going to say, but thanks anyway.

PvZ and Peggle. I may be a PopCap fanboy, but they make some damn addictive games. Peggle includes everything from the PC version, including replays, but PvZ is missing survival, puzzle, and zen modes, so I would have to recommend Peggle more if you want the best value.

I'm still waiting for an answer...

Dark Nebula: Episode Two is the sequel (obviously) to the original Dark Nebula, which you can download for free. Episode Two only costs 99c, and it's a great value for such quality gameplay. Simply put, it's a tilt-controlled action-adventure game that starts simple, but gradually introduces new elements like lasers, boost pads, weapons, conveyor belts, and a huge variety of enemies, including bosses and even ones that you can use trampoline pads to jump on. The 2D graphics look absolutely stunning, with crisp textures and incredible lighting. The games' one and only downside is that it can be beaten in two hours (at most), but you can always go back to get gold medals and try to beat it on expert mode. While it lasts, it's one of the finest gaming experiences you can get on the App Store. Needless to say, you should get it (and the original) now.

    Sega Games Sale

So a bunch of Sega games just went on sale and i'm really not sure which to get (i've been eyeing them for a while)
Right now i'm debating Sonic and Sonic 2 but i'm not sure how the controls translate very well on the iPod Touch.
Also looking at Golden Axe and Shining Force
    Any recommendations would be great

Shining Force would probably be your best bet from a technical standpoint. Seeing as it's turn-based, even if there were some slowdowns, they wouldn't affect gameplay. Unfortunately, that means that games like Sonic and Sonic 2 (both of which I hear perform rather poorly), Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage are near unplayable on the iPhone.

    OMG! Pirates or Knight's Rush?

I already have the awesomely fun OMG! Pirates (which is underappreciated, I think), so should I get Knight's Rush, too? So much hype but also buggy reports and people saying it's boring and repetitive...makes me kinda hesitant. Thoughts on both?

Corporate Fury is definitely worth a look. As soon as I update to iOS 4.0 (and jailbreak for multitasking), I'll pick it up, but I still have yet to hear one negative comment that either makes a difference or has yet to be fixed.

And I decided that I'm definitely getting Zombie Highway, Corporate Fury, and probably Shining Force now, and then Predators and Phantasy Star II or Castlevania and a $1 game when I get the rest of the money.

Alight definitely picking that up now then thanks! Hmm dont bother getting predators, it's just too easy and you can get everything completed/upgraded in less than three hours..and it's repetitive. Shining force is very good though.

I've heard from some people that Predators is also an extremely good game too, so I think I'll pick up the lite version after updating to see how it is. If I don't get Predators, anyone have any good suggestions for a $3 game?
