they are both great. but PW has kept my attention for longer. They are both a blast, but Broken Sword drags on too much and it gets boring near the middle-end. PW is amazing though all the way through.
For what it is worth, The Broken Sword never got boring for me, while PW took a bit of time to come into it's own. The Broken Sword is also much prettier, has great voice-over and incomparably better exploration. PW has the unique court mechanic and is a good game, but IMHO The Broken Sword (and Monkey Islands and possibly Beneath a Steel Sky) is just better.
I need good $0.99 RPG and SHooter! Preferably both in one app, but if not it is okay! Would like one shooter one rpg or one shooter rpg!
The only thing I can think of is RottenCity, which is a zombie shooter RPG. Aside from hard to use controls (which I think were addressed in an update), it sounds like a pretty cool game. In fact, I think I might pick it up myself. Also, should I go with the Creature of Havok or the one Sorcery! book on the App Store?
Spider: Bryce Manor, Canabalt, or Hector: Badge of Justice? (Or something else...) Note: I'm using a first gen iPod Touch.
Have it. Alright, the current games that I have (that people may suggest) are Angry Birds, Fastar!, Fruit Ninja, Monster Dash, Pix'n Love Rush, Helsing's Fire, Gravity Runner.
what's the longest action RPG or the action RPG with the most replay value? no fastar! it looks so awful, I can not get past the character design and all the visuals for that matter.
Thanks, I'll check it out! Oh.. you are missing out! I actually like the simple graphics. You really should judge a game by it's.. icon/screenshots/gameplay videos
Fastar! is more or less a joke, parodying how RPG's often have you fighting enemies of the same design, but different sizes and colors. If you don't like that concept, then I suggest Necromancer Rising. It's $5 at the most, and has enough content to keep you playing obsessively for months.
Looking for a highly-replayable 1.99$ game or 2 0.99$ games. I already have The Incident, Angry Birds, Fastar!, Monster Dash, Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump, Helsing's Fire, MMWF, Star Dunk, Finger Balance, Cubed Rally Racer, Solomon's Keep. If possible, not to big on memory either.
Buster Red is free for a day and is awesome and has a lot of replay value with tons of OpenFeint achievements and boss runs. They also apparently have an additional campaign for 99c but I haven't got it yet, still playing through the original campaign. Also Galcon Labs is free today and has a TON of replay value. You can get both of those and then save up for Battle for Wesnoth (best turn based strategy game on the iPhone and it's cross platform with multiplayer and an immense campaign that will eat up your time for weeks, seriously. Also, the developer is on these here forums and is a super nice guy. I love supporting devs who are active in the community )
Monster Dash or Mono Race or The Incident or Canabalt (that's right, I still haven't bought Canabalt.) I recently got Gravity Runner and it's pretty good, but I want something with a bit more polish.
super laser is 99 cent, is it any good ? i already got assault squadron, air attacck can it keep up with them ?
Monster Dash is the cheapest of the bunch and it's quite fun. The only thing that sucks is the monster spawning system but hopefully it'll be fixed. It can end runs at the most inconvenient times and create impossible situations.
It's definitely worth the 99 cents. I think I prefer Assault Squadron slightly, but it's better to me than Air Attack, although that is also a good game. By the way, Icarus-X is also on sale for 99 cents and it's quite good as well.
Well, not taking price into account, which is the best? I don't really care so much about the price differences here. I'd prefer a game that is more expensive but has plenty of replay value to one that is cheap but that I'll be done with after 20 minutes.
