Hmm... I'm not a huge RPG fan, but is this game simple enough for more of a casual/action game fan like me to understand?
Its an RPG; but not really. The RPG elements aren't really there. That doesn't mean its a bad game though, I bought it at $7 and enjoyed it. Its just more of an action/adventure with some RPG elements.
It's a pretty straight forward game and tells you what to do and where to go. Upon leveling the points are automatically distributed so most of the game you'll just be hacking away at monsters. You are able to upgrade weapons and armor, though there is a very limited selection of both. For 99 cents I'd say it's a good buy but try the lite version first to see if you have a taste for it.
It says sale but I don't think it has to do with Comic-Con. Maybe but Phoenix Wright was on sale for Comic-Con and that already jumped back up to the original $4.99 price while MM2 still remains on for $0.99.
I got it today while it was on sale, and honestly for $1 it's definitely a worthy buy. However, the cheats really ruin it. You can access it whenever, wherever, and cheat as much as you want. While it is extremely useful to cut down playing time (you can level select from anywhere, get health potions, better armor/weapons, etc.), I still dislike it a lot.
Yeah thanks I went ahead and bought it. I didn't even know there was cheats... And Hoppy looks like a fun game... I just might buy it sometime.
That's why I don't use them. I'm just saying that because they're there for everybody to use without any restrictions, it'll probably ruin gameplay for many because they'll just keep using it. The game will then get really boring really fast. Good to hear, hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for your suggestions, however I was looking more for games that had lots of spoken dialogue. I didn't really make my first post clear =/
I've played the original phoenix wright on the nintendo ds and that didn't have spoken dialogue, did they add it into the iPhone version??
Never mind, I thought you meant dialogue as in text, not word spoken. Let me check on spoken games. Oh! Broken Sword DEFINITELY.
