So is Chaos Rings like an adventure where you explore and do mild puzzles, buying items from shops leveling up and so on? Or just a small arena-type game where you fight random creatures.

  2. Excuse me? I spent £30 on it for the DS and do not regret it. It's already great value at £1.79. The graphics were made like this on purpose so if you fuss about the graphics so much you obviously hate these kinds of graphics.

You are looking at a book by its cover - the screenshots.
In the shop, you may not pick up a book if it doesn't have an engrossing cover.
    So...

For the IDKth time: We don't like PW for MORE reasons than graphics. Stop making that seem like our only reasons why we don't get the game.

Wasn't your other reason because it involved thinking?

That kind of graphics is nothing for me. It is the reason why I hate every anime, most eastern RPGs (some of them are enjoyable enough to make me forget sbout the terrible, disgusting art). And seriously, why can't you just accept my opinion, that I formed after reading review, watching videos and looking at many screenshots?

And the book metaphor is still WAY different. I only look at the cover when I'm opening or closing ir, not every time I'm reading. Also, the gameplay of PW doesn't sound that amating either.

Others: Thanks a lot for your ideas, I could pick some I like. : ))

    Little of both.

You buy items in a shop, level up, fight creatures (you can turn off encounters if you acquire certain skills), solve easy puzzles, find items, acquire skills from enemies, talk to a group of people you meet in the beginning of the game. Exploration is limited as the backgrounds are fairly straightforward.

Two of my favorite comics (both in the top 4 for me) have some of the ugliest art ever. Some of my favorite games have ugly graphics. My favorite movie has awful special effects.

When you grow up, you'll realize that all that is meaningless (and i draw for a living, so no "you don't appreciatte art" BS, please).

My thinking goes to things that will progress my life. My thinking isn't laid to waste on games.

It's more or less a thinking excersize, to sharpen up your mind through solving mysteries piece by piece. It's a great experience and it's really something different from your typical mindless action.

And seeing as you guys are so adamant about not getting Phoenix Wright, I'll let that be my last argument for getting it. Let me just say, though, that I felt the same way about Space Miner when it first came out, thinking that the concept was stupid and that I really disliked Asteroids games at the time, but it went on sale, I got it, and it turned out to be a fantastic game. You never know until you give it a good chance.

Wow, reading this over again, it was kind of a bit overboard. To clarify, gaming is for fun, so that's what I want to have. I don't want some crazy thinking to have to be applied, which is why I'm not a big fan of extremely serious puzzles. However, that doesn't mean I don't like lighter thinking games- PW fits the bill.

And that's what I was trying to get to, thinking wasn't one of my reasons for now getting PW.

Thing is, I was in your same exact position. I wasn't sure about Space Miner, and even when it was at .99 I refused to get. One of my friends fell for the sale, however, and really told me to try it out. I played it a bit, felt okay about it, and bought it for myself. It turned out it wasn't just okay to me, it was great for me.

Then here comes Wright. Even though it's on sale, I refuse to get it, just like Space Miner. And just like SM, one of my friends got the game, told me about it, so I tried it out. This time though, not only does he not really like it too much, I didn't like it either when I tested it out. That's why I'm still not falling for PW as I did for other games like SM.

Like I often say, to each his own. I guess there are some people out there who actually don't like Phoenix Wright :)eek:)... and then there are people who like it so much that they try to make a custom court case...

Either way, I just recommend giving it just one more shot if you get the chance to play it on his iPod. At least try to complete the first case, which shouldn't take more than about 10-20 minutes, and is quite intriguing if you follow the case. If that doesn't interest you, then I don't think anything will.

Ok I have 5$ and I'm leaving for a weeklong trip on Wednesday, what are some great games that have:

    1. Lots of reply value
    2. Lots of custimization
    3. Survival mode or something that adds reply value

I was thinking Lets Golf! 2, does this have what I'm looking for?

Any ideas on great games are greatly appreciated, thanks :D

Hook Champ. Very high replayability, very fun, very awesome, very customizable. $2.99 I think
Jet car stunts. Please tell me you have this. Infinite replayability (you know shortcut finding, crazy tricks.), insanely fun, jizz-your-pants awesome.$1.99 plus $1.99 if you want the mega awesome DLC.
Lil racerz. Lots of cups, lots of cars, lots of fun, takes a while to beat. $.99
Solomon's Keep. So so so much customization, takes a while to beat, replayability is very high (completing the game with different skills and such). $.99
Sword and Poker 1 and/or 2. Really long game, it'll take you the whole trip to beat (playing only this game). No replayability (but I'd say the game length makes up for it). Lots of customization.
Minisquadron. Survival mode, lots and lots of planes to unlock (all planes are different and cool), really fun.

    • Finally, people are now free to circumvent protection measures on video games — but, strangely, only to investigate and correct security flaws in those games. (Another oddity: Other computer software is not part of this ruling, just video games.)

Apple fought hard against the legalization, arguing that jailbreaking was a form of copyright violation. The FCC disagreed, saying that jailbreaking merely enhanced the inter-operability of the phone, and was thus legitimate under fair-use rules.

    jailbreaking is freaking legal now.
So...what does jailbreaking an ipod touch do?

So i decides to get Plunderland (thanks to da shiz wiz 19) and Helsing's Fire. This eill leave me with $0.99. What should i get?

Jailbreaking lets you use your ipod touch to its fullest potential. You can use themes, have folders the way you want them, have 5 columns and rows, and way more.

On a sidenote, using the appstore while jailbroken is safe right?

I'm not exactly sure completely what the article is suggesting but yes, it's not illegal and you can't be prosecuted. Oh, wow that sounds cool. So, how do I do it?

Just find a jailbreaking program (blackra1n, limera1n, and spirit) and then follow the directions. You can find stuff on youtube. I used spirit, all you have to do is download it and then have it run. In about a few seconds you will press a button that says jailbreak. Press it and then your done. Just wait for it to jailbreak and you'll get a cydia app.
