I like 100 Rogues better, for several reasons: 1) rarely do I ever feel like the game gets boring and tedious, like Fargoal does with its giant maps. Also, the enemies in Fargoal are largely the same- move and attack, with a few exceptions. 2) I never feel like some trap or monster with acid breath (like shadow dragons in Fargoal) can instantly defeat me. In 100 Rogues, it is all about my choices given the circumstances, and my choices make a significant difference in the outcome. 3) 100 Rogues is simply shorter and more compact for on the go gaming. With Fargoal, it takes quite a while to get into the lower levels (at least with enough xp and the items to survive). 4) Charming, tongue-in-cheek style and wonderful music in 100 Rogues. 5) Developers are very present on the game's forums and open to suggestions and feedback. 6) Five patches in two months is pretty astounding for only three devs who are not doing it as a full-time thing.
I LOVE pulse news mini reader. It allows me to quickly get caught up on all sorts of sources. It only allows up to 20 rss feeds but thats alot of data to refresh on a single screen that scrolls. I use this app several times a day and love it. Its by far my most used app on the phone right now. Granted, I haven't tried any of the free feed readers out there. But this reader got so much praise on the iPad and had great reviews i figured it was worth the leap. I was right. It is formatted perfectly for a small idevice.
There's a Capcom and Gameloft sale, Galcon is on sale for $0.99, Sam & Max for iPad is on sale for $2, and Phoenix Wright is on sale for $3.
For the Gameloft sale, I'd definitely say go for Modern Combat if you're into those things. I am absolutely enjoying it. I don't have Dungeon Hunter or Fishing Kings, but those games are supposedly good as well if you're into those genres. As for the Capcom sales, none of their games suit my taste. I believe Street Fighter and Phoenix Wright are their more popular games, but I don't like either.
I'm still not sure I could enjoy it 'cause of the graphs. Is it really THAT good? Also, everybody: And other on-sale ideas?
Phoenix Wright - doesn't have much animation, and it is beautiful on the iPhone. I suggest checking it out.
Yes it is really is that good. The graphics are wonderfully drawn and the animations are very stylish. Also, the stories are so good that you'll forget all about the graphics. Trust me, for $3, you can't beat this game. It easily has over 20 hours of gameplay.
I know, that they are well drawn for the style, but for some strange reason, I absolutely hate these anime-styled graphics. So the stories are really that good? What are they about in general?
They're all murder mysteries. Sometimes you know who did it, and sometimes you don't, but seeing how the criminal pulled off the crime and the twists and turns that lead to him being discovered are amazing. You'll completely forget about how much you hate anime-style graphics once you're playing the game. Plus, the majority of the game is conveyed through text-based speech, so the graphics aren't even a major focus.
