Globetrotters is free at the moment. Doesn't look half bad but I don't have an ipad to try it out.

I have a super boring drivers ed class for the next two weeks, and all we do is watch movies that suck and our instructor reads a book the whole time.

So I'm looking for apps that are not intensive (no tilting please!), but help pass the time.

Turn based TD, not real-time (think bloonsTD, not TowerMadness)
Not TBS, that needs my full atention to make sure I can know what's going on
    Casual games in general
Maybe apps like StumbleUpon website, with information overloads that keep the time moving

But don't just use those guidelines, be creative please!

Should I get flight control HD or plants vs zombies HD? Make an argument/reason why you chose the one you did.

well i have both flight control and plants vs zombies for iphone when i got my ipad last week:p

but i picked up flight control hd and not pvz hd. flight control hd comes with 3 new hd maps and a 3d map for a total of 8 playable maps on the ipad. then there is multiplayer and online leaderboards. with the extra room on the ipad, the game is totally different from its predecessor on the iphone. contrastingly, pvz on the ipad is practically the same on the iphone. same levels. same everything except in hd and has an extra minigame or something. pvz is an excellent game and if you havent played it already, you should def get that. but if you have already played/ beaten it on the iphone/computer, there is no point buying it for the ipad.

Dude, you got an iPad?! I hate you... You come back just to taunt me with your brand new iPad, didn't you?!

Either way, I think it's all down to preference. From what I hear, it sounds like Flight Control HD gives you more content for upgrading to the HD version than Plants vs. Zombies does, but kept generally the same game in both instances. If you havn't played Plants vs. Zombies yet, I definitely recommend that. Otherwise, it's up to you, seeing as I've never played Flight Control.

Good grades! Man, I really hate you now! I got like mostly A's and B's, with maybe one C (in an honors course, mind you), and apparently that's worth anything... :( Ah well, once I get myself a job, I'll probably get myself an iPhone 4, so it's all good.
