hi i have around 6 dollars on my account and was wondering if that fallout looking rpg was worth it? Also is broken Sword really that good?
Oh awesome. Thank you for that example. Sounds like a very Professor Layton-like system, which I adore. Is there a penalty to using hints, or a limited quantity of hints you can activate?
Good train travel games? Hey, this one is a bit oddly specific. I train it to work each morning for about an hour, so I get a lot of iPhone time in then =P But since I'm standing up the whole time and the carriage can get a bit crowded, and you're shuffling around letting people off and on, I'm after a fairly specific type of game. I find that you can't play anything "live" in that scenario. Dual-stick shooters, fpses, puzzle games with a timer or anything like that are out (though I love these games at home). Played a lot of solitaire, Strategery, UniWar, Tactica. Just recently got Aqueduct and Highborn, they're both really good. Can anyone think of anything else that might suit? If it's played in...I guess you'd call it "portrait" mode rather than landscape, even better, easier to manage (and makes me look a *little* less nerdy, hehe, because I'm clearly typing a message...really intently). Thanks for the advice!
Well, there are other TBS games like Battle for Wesnoth (great, IMHO), MechoWars (good and pretty), Reign of Swords 1 (great gameplay, but spartan presentation), Rogue Planet (very pretty, but I didn't try it yet). They are all in landscape, though. How about roguelikes? Rogue Touch has spartan presentation and is pretty unforgiving, but sucked me in for more hours than I care to think. It is played in portrait, too and can be played one-handed. Sword of Fargoal is prettier and more accessible. Or point-and-clickers? The Broken Sword, The Secret of Monkey Island and Beneath a Steel Sky are all great, in this order of personal preference. Word games. Not my cup of tea normally, but I did enjoy Textopolis (and Fishopolis is supposed to be the evolution of it) and Stitch-em-Words, and both are in portrait.
Ok so I have .99 to spend, what game? I have many..So just list your favorite ones and I'll see if I have them already or not.
i'd rather buy hookbot, though i'd get a whole other game for 0.99... ps: i also have an ipad, but my primary gaming device is the 1g touch
