For $5 I would buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, it took me 4 days of playing between work and sleep to beat it. (At least 7 hours for me as long as you don't cheat and you indulge yourself in the story)

  6. 7 hrs for each day of those 4 days?

Pix'n Love Rush! Unless you don't like platformers, then get Fruit Ninja. ;)

I would say Warpgate is worth it. I only played it for maybe 2 weeks, but for those 2 weeks, it was all I played. If only they would make it an MMO, I'd probably still be playing it if it was. I found little motivation to keep playing after I discovered all the areas. But for $5? Yeah it's worth it in my opinion.

I played the demo for the first Monkey Island game, and was having a lot of fun with it, but I didn't get a chance to try any of the puzzles to see if they would be too difficult for me. Is the rest of the game pretty easygoing, or will there be a lot of puzzles that will stump me? I've been having a hell of a time with Hector, but I think that might be because my mind really can't think in the "Hector solution" kind of way :p

I'm taking a trip tomorrow and was thinking of picking up the full version of Monkey Island, but I want to know if I'll get stuck, and if I get stuck will I hit a complete stop until I figure it out?

Hahaha nah just 7 hours across the 4 days, but now that I think of it maybe it took me 3 days... Idk but I do know that that game had the most epic story and writing in it out of all the games on the app store period!

  12. There is a hint system in the game.
You can also look online for answers.

other dude: Only 7 hrs? You must have known the answers then!

Haha I didn't but it was like two months ago so I can't remember the details, I just didn't want to over exaggerate and say "It took me 15 hours!" When it could have been like 10 hours lol.

IMO is kind of what I'm looking for... kind of. Another game I saw that seemed like it might be in the ball park is something like 'Can I Save My Hero' or something like that. If anyone else happens to know of a Maple Story style game (side scrolling RPG, preferred to be online but totally not necessary), let me know.

How does the hint system work?

  16. I believe press a button for hint 1 which is vague but gets u in the right direction, pressing again gets you a less vague hint and 3 almost reveals it.

    EXAMPLE NOT IN GAME

    (You need the salmon.)

You need something to use here.
The something is in the other room.
Open the fridge in the other/this room to find the salmon.

I dnt know how many of these you have got already, but here are some classics I've just posted on another thread...

Thank you RttaM for a great list of titles! It seems the app store is as strong as ever!
I have just bought jet car stunts and it is fantastic - a real sense of speed.

My favourite titles from 2008/9 (if I remember when these came out rightly, are

Doodle jump - still a fantastic game although papi jump started it all, doodle jumps updates have made it far superior.

iPingPong - loved the game to death, my favourite table tennis game

Eliss - manic game and quite tricky.

Zenonia - a brilliant rpg that wasn't bested when I was playing iPod touch games, and it was sooooooo long.

Homerunbattle 3D - dunno how many people still play this game but it was nightly fun online and featured cod-like unlockables.

Dinosmash - had a cult following on TA a while ago and was fantastic and crazy to play online.

GeoDefense - the original was fantastic and I enjoyed it much more than Geodefense swarm as the areas you could place turrets weren't set. Both games are fun and hard which makes for an enjoyable and challenging experience.

Dactyl - a favourite for quick fun, very addictive to get a high score tapping at the bombs before they blow up.

WordFu - a great timed word game.

TouchGrind - very well known game but fantastic nonetheless.

Space invaders infinity gene - a great space invaders remake though the best bit is using your own music to create unique stages.

    Some others In a list:
    ZenBound - fantastic graphics
    Minigore
iBlastMoki - exclusively on iPhone and very original, a puzzler with some similarities to angry birds - my favourite of 2009
Peggle - same as the pc version but soo much more fun
Ragdoll Blaster - a great game shooting a person at targets
HoldEm - the best poker game offline with Live Poker the best online
Grand theft auto Chinatown wars - the real deal
    Blimp - a puzzler/platformer
Cube Runner - fast, very fast
    Enigmo - puzzle with water
    F.A.S.T - fantastic flight game
Real Racing - just like the good old codies games, and with great graphics.
Knots - free and fun with more than one person
I dig it - just like motherload from miniclip.com
    Fieldrunners - the original TD
Moto X Mayhem - a solid bike racer like trials bike etc.
iDodge: Space Ninja - a great timing game
Space Trader - trading goods around stations to get the best value, had so much fun with this game
Stoneloops of Jurassica - fantastic, just fantastic puzzle game.
Theseus - another great puzzle game with you and the Minotaur getting one turn each to make a move and you have to get to the exit
4x4 jam - a great racer with an open world element
Scoops - very original and addictive
Toki Tori - a great puzzler with high values

They're both great, depending on what sport you prefer. I'd lean towards THPS2 because I prefer realism over RPG-stlye play in sports, but many people like the casual arcade-y style of BBSS
