What is the best game that has the same gameplay mechanic as Trials HD for the Xbox Live Arcade? It's physics-based, with a motorbike, and you have to navigate the levels without flipping over and such. What's the best iPhone game that has that mechanic?
Well, if you're going to care about the graphics enough to overlook Phoenix Wright, I'd say get Necromancer Rising. Great dungeon crawler RPG.
I'm enjoying iMotocross, but the physics are a bit... weird. It almost feels like there's little to no gravity, or almost like in bullet-time mode. Nonetheless, it's good fun for a buck. Otherwise you have Moto X Mayhem, which is more like Max Dirt Bike than anything. I havn't played it yet, but considering how much I like MDB, I might pick it up sometime. Someone really needs to make a Trials clone.
Good. Buy both. I decided to pick up Super QuickHook this morning after falling asleep waiting for release. It's definitely a great game though. And if you don't have Hook Champ yet, get that too. I have a feeling I'll be alternating between both games quite a bit.
Questions: 1. How long is PW? Is it interesting the whole time? 2. Same about Necromancer Rising. 3. How about LASW? 4. Maybe any other, lower priced games that add up to $5?
1. PW is between 25-35 hours, and honestly, I've never played a more 'interesting' game. It's the type of game that won't let you stop playing. 2. Necromancer Rising can be however long you want it to be, heh it's filled with more options for customization than any other game in the genre, definitely an interesting and pretty fun game. 3. LASW: just read what all the hype is all about..plenty available in the thread or itunes link. You can also check out the review here on TA both on frontpage and under user reviews. 4. SQH-1.99, PZS-0.99, Zombie wonderland-0.99, puppet wars-0.99. cheers
Yeah, Phoenix Wright is about 20 hrs or so. Probably more. I spent weeks playing this game nonstop, and I'm guessing it took 2-3 weeks to beat it, since I was playing constantly. Necromancer is just... huge. There's 50 floors of enemies, with a boss and several quests on each floor. The equipment and abilities are just... there's just so many it's impossible to count. TONS of content with either game.
LASW: Yeah, I know, but I have never seen them compared in a "most bang for a buck" way. Other: PZS = what? Also, I'm buying SQH anyway, that's why it's only $5.
PZS = Pro Zombie Soccer. Great game, although not as great as Phoenix Wright. Then again, I'm really, really loving both games right now, as well as SQH.
So very successful gift card.... Got hook champ, and sqh, and pzs, and guardian knight, and that defender chronicles, oh and bss10.... And loving them all.... Now I got .99 left and need something good to get.... Maybe something along the lines of all those, where you upgrade and shizz... But really anything that's fun that's .99
PW is interesting the whole time of 30 hours or so. I haven't played the others but others seem to be vouching for them so far. (I'll look into them when I get a giftcard, perhaps)
For now, Super Quickhook, considering there's exclusive hats and that it will be the only sale it will have in its lifetime. And I've not played HC yet, so I can't comment on that ;p.
Hook Champ has 36 levels, while Super QuickHook has only 17, but you should definitely get SQH Because it has an endless mode, better physics, better graphical effects, more upgrades, and they plan to update it with new levels and hats over the next few weeks. And it'll never be on sale again after this weekend.
Is Geometry Wars good for a 2nd Generation iPod Touch? Does it include the Titans mode that the description says is for the iPad? The description is the same as it was before it became a universal app; it makes it seem like Titans mode could just be an iDevice exclusive.
