Throwing out a few ideas: Dungeon Scroll - A word game where the words you make are "spells", which deal damage to enemies. That is about where the similarity to RPGs ends though. Undercroft, Wolfenstein RPG, and Underworlds are more linear than Zenonia, and they don't have all of the BS errand quests that make you run back and forth. Defender Chronicles is a Tower Defense game with some RPG elements such as stats, although to be honest they hardly affect your game. Puzzle Quest is a match-3 game where you deal damage and cast spells through the match-3 system. It DOES, however, have lots of annoying walking around. And really, despite all the praise, the "depth" is pretty shallow. The game's random generator also is skewed in a way that it creates massive chains for you or the enemy...so you can lose everything in one or two turns, which is very frustrating (especially starting out). Solomon's Keep is a dual-stick shooter with RPG elements such as items, gold, experience, leveling, and abilities you put points in. Guardian Knight is similar to a Tower Defense. You protect a princess while moving through the stage and defending her from monsters. There are RPG elements of leveling, abilities, experience, etc.
Tilt to Live, Pro Zombie Soccer, and if you can buy another $1.99 game, I think Super Quick Hook is only $1.99
just bought Pro Zombie Soccer, Zombie Wonderland, and Pirates treasure. Were they good buys? Reason im asking is because I wont be able to sync my ipod for over a week so i just wanted to know
pirates treasure is pretty eh. guess who just bought the other 2 about 20 mins ago? xD. theyre very good.
Pro Zombie Soccer is, right now, the best deal on the App Store for $.99. I generally only stay up late when I'm playing either Phoenix Wright or Grand Theft Auto, but I think I've found an exception. I was up past midnight last night playing Pro Zombie Soccer. The only thing I don't like about that game is that stupid level with Jenny. She always gets in my way and I end up killing her by mistake. I think she can live without a contact for a little while.
I don't have it. I said earlier in this thread that I absolutely hate its graphics, and I'm not sure if the gameplay can compensate for that.
I like many games. RPGs are my absolute favourites, but there weren't any new good ones. I also like TBS/RTS games. The reason why Carnivores looks interesting is its polish.
Oh, the gameplay compensates so much! The plot twists, the mystical cases, the memorable characters... It's a story and crime solving court case(s) like no other! And you get 5 cases for a tenth of the price of the DS version (AKA full game for less money!)
So, lets say I'm really not a fan of soccer. Should I get Pro Zombie Soccer anyways? I love plants vs. zombies and zombiesmash. Thanks in advance. Btw, anybody who loves dual-stick shooter should get Geometry Wars, its a blast!
Yes you should. Pro Zombie Soccer is very much like a tower defense game, only your defending with a ball.
