Lots of people. I started going on again and there's almost always at least five people online. Wave Blazer not as much. And hey, I like Raging Thunder, it may not be the most technically impressive, but it's fun. Also, one of the best games on the Android so far.
is there any rly good rpg or fps for $.99 out there cause all i have left is a dollar and i want something
FPS for 99 cents: Infinity project, Sick of Santa. Infinity is the better of the two though, but SOS isn't bad at all.
How is Infinity Project? I've been looking at it and it looks awesome for an indie game and I've heard a lot of good things about it. Could you put together a pro/con list, even a short one, so I can get a basic idea? And how is it compared to Be Free or Die, since I like that one a bit (not the best ever but it's a fun game w/ some control annoyances for me).
Short Summary - The Infinity Project = Be Free or Die X 100000. Long Summary - The Infinity Project is probably one of the best, most polished (when the update comes out, and it's already in review) FPS's on the App Store. It'll last you at least twice as long as NOVA, if not three or four times that amount, and the developer and his wife are looking into future online multiplayer and a "The Infinity Project 2." Overall, this game is a MUST HAVE for any FPS fan, mainly because of the length, free-roaming experience, AND the fact that the update that's In Review has voice-overs, new gun sounds and animations, a GPS system, and on the whole tons more polish.
pros: Long campaign Exploration non-linear good graphics cheap cons: AI kinda sucks at times... buttons can be unresponsive. One time I went in circles for like 20 minutes No way to reload manually (or i havent discovered it yet) obviously pros outway the cons Compared to be free or die, IMO it's better. it'll last you longer, make you feel like a pimp, has better graphics, better AI, UI is better, controls are better when they arent being unresponsive. By the way, can you tell me what you didnt like about Be free or die's controls? I was the main betatester for the controls, so I guess I did a bad job. I'll relay it to the dev and it can be changed.
Oh, well I'm using the default setting (screen drag or whatever it is) and it feels a bit slow. I drag my thumb and then it feels like it goes after. The buttons and control stick don't have any problem, but I wish the camera speed could be increased. I havn't played around with the options yet so it may be my stupidity, but for default it's a bit awkward. And Infinity Project's open world? Holy crap, I'm going for it. 2 more I'm curious about. Battle Blasters and Spartacus: Blood and Sand I'm a huge fighting game fan and have been playing them in the arcade before I even knew what I was doing (lol used to just pick Cyclops and some other dude who looked cool in Xmen vs. Street Fighter and move the control stick and mash buttons... good times...) EDIT: Why does my iPod feel like being an idiot right as I click the Buy Now button on Infinity Project... I really want an open world FPS and my iPod apparently doesn't...
Well it's not completely 'open world' it's more like there are no arrows to guide you, but it has a sense of open world-ness.
Alright anyone whoevers played the following, which one should I go for? Battle Blasters, Kim Rhode's Outdoor Shooting, Mission: Deep Sea, Zombies vs Aliens, Mega Throw Football. Also does anyone know if any of the following games have been submitted yet? Pro Zombie Soccer, Cogs, Plants vs Zombies
Better than the linear-ness of every other FPS out there... The only one that strayed from this a bit was Prey, but that was really crappy, especially now after the games that came out. I got lost half the time and didn't know what was going on, and the after death thing, while cool, felt really cheap. It was a cool novelty back then, but now it's just "Oh yeah, remember Prey? Those were terrible controls". At least I made one great purchase that night: Zenonia.
Ok, Zombies vs. Aliens = Awesome. The only game I can think of that rivals Trenches. They're both on the same level of awesomeness for me. As for Pro Zombie Soccer, idk about submission date, but wait for it. Save your money (probably about 3-5 bucks) for this one. I played the demo, and wow... check out the thread for my impressions. And they said they were still working on it and getting impressions while adding more, so idk when it's going to be submitted.
Ok so I'll get Zombies vs Aliens. Any comments about the other ones. Oh and Pro Zombie Soccer is already an instabuy, as well as the other 2 upcoming ones, I was just hoping that someone knew if they were submitted yet.
You didn't give me credit. I spent time writing that, you know. :l Because I'm a nice person, here's more info. I can wholeheartedly recommend Battle Blasters - it'll last you for at least two hours in the campaign gameplay, and it has quick play and SAME DEVICE multiplayer. At it's current price, it's an amazing deal. As for Spartacus: Blood and Sand, I don't know yet. I'm getting a code for it soon, so I'll PM you my impressions on that if you want them, how about that? Overall though, impressions on Spartacus: Blood and Sand seem GENERALLY positive, but you have to do reset to have a smooth game no matter what your device is. So if you buy it before I can give impressions, remember to reset your iPod then start it up for a lag-free or almost lag-free game.
And thanks again, you've helped me thrice tonight. I was replying to shiz whiz's question about the BFoD controls, so it was easy for me to quote. I'll probably get Battle Blasters soon, it looks like a ton of fun to begin with. And thanks for the info on Spartacus. I might go for it soon and review it if I have free time. And I like nodpad if that makes things better
Ohhh... fail... Well, I'll play around with that and let you know how it feels. EDIT: Aaahhh... much better.. Actually responds when I move my finger now. On the other hand, I don't like the scroll thing when your finger reaches the end of the screen. Any way to turn that off or is that just part of the game?
Yup, that makes everything better. Haha, it's alright though, I was just kidding around. I won't forget my promise either, I'll talk to Com2uS and see what I can do.
