i bough skate it, its really not that bad. the written toutorial tells u everything u need so its not that bad dude
Treu-but the learning curve is steep. Even though you know what you have to do, its hard to execute, and even harder to become comfortable with.
Depends. Armada is more of a pick up and play, easier to learn RTS with quick online games. Offline will be added soon. Red Conquest has more difficult controls and has online as well. If you can get use to the controls and strategies, it is very fun. So if you want a more difficult to learn RTS go for Conquest. If you want an easier pick up and play RTS go for Armada. Both are very fun though
Yeah, that's what I've been trying to say. But with a lot more words. And between Red Conquest! and Armada, I definitely take Armada. Red Conquest is just a bit too... overwhelming for me, and I'm not a big fan of the way the tutorial is presented.
Red conquest- So much deeper. Once you figure out the controls and strategies it is amazing. You'll be all like "oh shit here comes the enemie! I need to protect my harvesters! Units form vertical line!" or "oh shit here comes the enemy! I need to protect my foundry! Units form turtle formation!" Plus I like graphics very appealing, it makes the fighting look very slick. But I warn you, it's is hard. But very rewarding if you persevere. Armada is more pick up and play. Small learning curve, much more typical RTS (which is not neccesarily a bad thing)
I have red conquest and i like it. But i reccomend starting on Armada, then moving on to Red Conquest, because RC is so much more difficult yet fun
It actually made me give up on the game. It's that lame. I sat there and tried to learn the controls, but I just couldn't remember what to do when I got in game. My issue is that none of the buttons clearly describe what they do, and the tutorial is just too hard to learn, so I just kinda gave up. Otherwise, I see it being a fun game, but I just can't understand it. Armada on the other hand, is the easiest RTS to understand. I started it up without even reading the tutorial, and I fully understood what to do after a game or two.
i understand what to do, but like it wants you to know and realize everything and the control scheme just doesnt feel...right
Jesus I'm stuck now. I want an in depth game, so my finger was hovering over the buy button for red conquest. However, I'm often slow at picking things up, so I'm worried I won't be able to understand the controls after all you guys have said!! What exactly makes red conquest so complex? Please compare it to the settlers....is it significantly more complex than that? I like the basic premise of armada, but it seems so...basic. Seems like rocks-paper-scissors with jazzed up graphics. Is this true?
I have the same exact problem!! Everybody is saying that Red Conquest is so complicated but Armada just dosent seem to in-depth of a game. Is the difficulty of Red Conquest just really hard or is it the controls or something?
Red Conquest's many menus do seem confusing at first, but wouldn't it be so for any RTS you've just started playing. After a few campaign missions I got the hang of all the controls pretty quickly. Once you do learn them you'll find they're fast and easy to use.
Yes RC is wayy more complicated than The Settlers... Armada isn't that simple as you say it requires a good strategy and skill but's it's basic and easy to learn, u'll have fun even if you lose
I think I am going to go with Armada. I have not played many RTS games and I think I should start out with something simple.
