Well, can someone try to give me a complete list of apps that are really good? I don't care about the prices(although they would be helpful).

Edit: Just thought of something. I do realize that this would be quite some work for anyone to type up, and, I have some extra Itunes credit I don't need, so I'll gift some apps to the best responses. Not just the best, but any really good ones. Just PM me with your email. I would also like a short description.

Edit 2: I live in the USA. Also, any app under 7$ is fine.

Edit 3: On second thought, i'll be giving price limitations depending on how good the list is.

    Ok I'll do my best...
    (checking iPod)

    - GTA: CW (9.99) - Port from the DS version

    RPGs:

    - Chaos Rings (12.99) - Best RPG on the iDevice, ever. Period. If you like RPGs and have the $$, get this. Turned Based Combat.
    - Across Age (5.99) - You control 2 characters here, fighter and mage, and use them a la superstar saga to ge through stuff.
    - Zenonia 2 (4.99) - Simpler RPG, real time combat, 4 classes to choose from, fairly straightforward but still good.
    - Inotia 2 (4.99) - Strikes me as more loyal to its roots, huge content (sidequests and stuff), you roll at 1st for you char stats, 4 classes to choose from + you get to hire mercenaries.
    - Wolfenstein RPG (1.99) - Just strikes me as a really fun/simple rpg.
    - IMO (MMORPG) (Free, 2.99 to go premium) - The only MMORPG in the AppStore, yes, it lacks stuff, but if you enjoy good old grinding, there's nothing better.
    - Dark Shrine (0.99) - You go through levels which have missions and side missions, which grant you items if you complete them. In the levels you fight all kinds of monsters and lvl up, you have 4 magic skills, 3 equipment pieces and upgradeable hp/sp/magic.
    - Space Miner (not really RPG but yeah, awesome game and had to put it somewhere) (4.99) - Really Awesome game, is like asteroids on steroids, asteroids in its core but with enemies, exploration, storyline, rpg elements, ship upgrades, etc.
    - Hybrid (2.99) - Different kind of RPG focused more on the fights, that said, some say it takes a bit to get used to the controls, for me it is a great game.
    - Caligo Chaser (2.99) - Like Hybrid, really, same focus on fighting but different way of dealing with it (not as complex commands) downside is that it is a port from a mobile game.

    Casual:

    - Doodle Jump (.99) - Everyone likes this, you jump from platform to platform until you die.
    - Mega Jump (.99) - Grab coins to keep going up and up. Fair level of challenge, has power ups and downs to spice things up.
    - Ninjatown: Trees of Doom (1.99) - You're a ninja, that should be enough, but if not, you climb paralel trees with all kinds of stuff in them, you get touched by enemies you die, you slip you die :p (also has powerups)
    - Canabalt (2.99) - You're an agent scaping from *something*, tap to jump, the longer you tap the higher you go, it auto runs so you only need to tap to go from building to building (and survive)
    - Fruit Ninja (.99) - Slash fruit, don't slash bombs, simple, addictive.
    - Edge (2.99) - I think this could also be a platformer? Reach the exit as fast as you can picking up the most mini cubes you can and in the shorter time possible. Did I tell you you play as a cube?
    - Freaking Inkies (.99) - Tilt to aim, then shoot colors at matching inkies to kill them, has enough different types of mini games to keep you hooked.
    - Tilt to Live (1.99) - Just awesomeness, you tilt to control an arrow from an army of red dots, your objective? Survive and kill as many of them as possible (with a really nice arsenal of weapons to help you with that).
    - Labyrinth 2 (4.99) - Guide the ball to the exit through all kinds of perils, also user content also available/uploadable.
    - Parachute Ninja (.99) - Kinds slingshot based gameplay where you slingshot your ninja through perils of the level :p.
    - Angry Birds (.99) - Catapult game, awesome, just awesome (and addictive).
    - Bird Strike (.99) - Help the bird get high on the map, through, mainly rockets and other kinfs of powerups, then break everythign on your way down. Very fun.
    - Dizzypad (1.99) - You're a frog, you jump in the direction of the arrow, tap to jump, try to survive :p.
    - Mr. AhHhH (.99) - you're a dude using a hook to go from one platform to the next, with modifications to gravity and wind, the nearer to the center, the more points you get.
    - Tower Bloxx Deluxe (.99) - Build a tower, believe me, not as easy as it sounds, and pretty addictive.
    - California Gold Rush (.99) - make your way to the riches of the earth, careful with the tunnels tho, they might collapse. Pretty much an excavation game with a little micromanagement.
    - iDig it & iDig it Expeditions (.99 & 2.99) - You have a weird excavation machine, you get all kinds of metals and junk, sell them, improve your ship and keep digging, you can even reach the center of the earth :p.

    Marble Shooter
    - Atlantis: Sky Patrol (2.99) - Pretty unique twist on the simple mechanic, really addictive

    Platformer:
Soosiz (1.99) - Think mario galaxy, did you like the gravity changes? This game is ALL about that.
Babylonian Twins (1.99) - Very nice platformer, you play as 2 twins with different abilities and have to work together in order to pass the levels.
Castle of Magic (1.99) - Classic platformer, with enough enemies and powerups/tweaks to give you several hours of gameplay.
Rolando (1 & 2) (2.99 and 4.99 respectively) - Interesting gameplay and premise, you guide circular beings to save them from danger, different gameplay tweaks keeps it interesting.
Hook Champ (dunno if ithis is the genre, lol) (2.99) - Ever wanted to see what it is like to be Indiana Jones? Or just play a really cool game where you swing yourself to the exit to save yourself while getting money to buy hats powerups and whatnots? This is for you then.
Sway (4.99) - Really different take on the platformer genre, you really need to see a vide of this to truly enjoy its uniqueness, then buy it.

    TBS:
Battle for Wesnoth (.99) - Best TBS ever, enough content to keep you playing for life (like 300 hrs)
    The Settlers (4.99) - Just awesome :p.

    RTS:
Red Conquest (1.99) - Complex RTS, but also really enjoyable once you get the hang of it. Has online multplayer.
Robocalypse (.99) - Port of DS version.
Mecho Wars (.99) - Advance Warish, with aliens.

    Match 3:
Puzzle Quest (4.99 if you get the free version + DLC, otherwise is more expensive) - Match 3 with storyline and, SO MUCH CONTENT, just get this...

    DS Shooters:
Guerrilla Bob (.99) - Guerrilla Based, also you kill John Gore. Awesome update allows you to buy many different kinds of weapons to use.
    Alive 4ever Returns (1.99) - Zombie based
Critical Wave (.99) - My favorite
Pew Pew 2 (1.99) - Dunno how to describe
Minigore (1.99) - Pretty addictive at first, so it might get you hooked up for a while, last updates added new enemies and map.
Isotope (1.99) - So many ships to choose from and customize, really unique, level up system as well.
Circuit Strike One (.99) - You're a hacker, you're using a ship to hack a computer, and it even says WTF when you die :p

    Line Drawing
    - Harbor Master (1.99) - Guide ships with different colored cargo to diferent colored docks.
    - Flight Control (.99) - the original, same guiding stuff concept, but with planes.
    - 33rd Division (.99) - This is like war would feel like, if soldiers followed lines drawn by you :p

    Stuff dunno the genre:
Sword and Poker (1 & 2) (1.99 ea) - RPG game mixed with poker elements, everyone likes them, get only 2 tho, they're the same.
Warpgate (4.99) - Space trader kinda thing, really nice graphics and engaging gameplay.
Bombardiers Guild (1.99) - lol... no idea, you shoot at your enemy but the planets deviate your shots giving them more strenght, you need to see a video to understand.
Space Invaders Infinity Gene (4.99) - Think space invaders, with steroids, srsly, this game is addictive and has such a unique way of powering you up, you just keep playing.
Westbang (.99) - Remember that game where you needed to shoot the bad guys with the weapon controller before they killed you? Pretty much it, with 3 difficulties, very addictive.
Zen Bound (2.99) - there's no rush here, just cover the images with the rope as well as you can, you're only limited by the ammount of rope, enjoy.

    Time Management
    - Are you Alright (.99) - You're a doctor with several magic machines, pretty much each patient needs to go through several machines often involving minigames, you can upgrade your machines to work faster or hire helpers.

    Puzzlers:
Cogs (.99 for 10 levels, 4.99 total) - Pretty and nice, make everything fit so that the stuff you're doing works.
Geared (2.99) - Place the cogs, move the blue ones.
Isaac Newtons' Gravity (2.99) - Physics based, hard, fun.
Toki Tori (4.99) - Lotsa personality, guide the chicken to all of its eggs, lots of levels.
Peggle (2.99) - Throw balls to hit orange balls, physics based, very addictive and can be a little frustrating at times (read: challenging, so fun)
iBlast Moki (2.99) - Use bombs to make the dudes go to the target while getting the flowers, eventually you also need to use ballons and bridge like things.

How are Motocross Challenge and GeoFighter-Light Wars? They dropped to
.99 today. Is GeoFighter like Geometry Wars on the 360? Thanks

Here are some that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

Armada: Great RTS game with a futuristic setting. Currently, it can only be played online, but a offline mode is on the way. It is fast paced and a perfect fit for the iPhone/ipod Touch. Also, the controls are simple, elegant, and unique. $0.99
The Creeps!: A tower defense game that many people seem to really lke. I am not a big fan of the genre, but you might enjoy this. $1.99
Space Invaders Infinity Gene: Award winning vertical shoot em up that evolves as you play the game. The ability to generate levels based on the music on your iPhone/iPod Touch gives this game infinite replayability. $4.99
Spirit: An amazing casual game with great visual and audio effects. I don't know how to do it justice through a brief description, so watch this video. $0.99
Galcon Labs: This game is like a simplified real time Risk game set in space. It is quite awesome. $0.99
iBlack Moki: A nice physics puzzler that involves moving objects to their destinations via timed explosions. $2.99
Infinity Project: A FPS set in space. Honestly, I haven't played it yet, but it is supposed to get a huge update soon that, supposedly, is going to be unbelievable according to beta testers. $0.99
Eliminate Pro: A online FPS that offers a upgrade system and multiple modes of gameplay. Freemium
Chalkboard Stunts: Best described as a mix between jelly car and Jet Car Stunts with a level editor and level sharing. free

    Roguelikes:
Sword of Fargoal (3.99) - 20 levels, last one has THE sword, pick it up, bring it back up, and well, survive.
Rogue Touch (2.99) - Dunno much about this one.
100 Rogues (4.99) - Needs a LOT of polish, but has lots of potential. Guide yor rogue to kill satan, and survive the trip.

    Snake:
RPG Snake (.99) - Snake with RPGish graphics, but it is awesome :p.

    Castle defense:
Knights onRush (.99) - A classic, flick the knights to get thme out of your castle, fortify your castle for easiness on the killing as well.
Monster Mayhem (1.99) - Review on my blog @.@ basically, 8 weapons, zombies trying to escape, several bosses, and boss rush mode.
ZombieSmash (1.99) - Improvement over KoR, more powerups, more frantic, and sandbox level.
Plantz vs Zombies (2.99) - Plain awesomeness, zombies want to kill your owner's brains, you are the plants that must defend the yard to aboid this.
Trenches (.99) - WWII storyline, lots of content and more to be added in future updates, also, unlike other games, you have more unit placement freedom, allowing for better strategy.

    Racing:
    - Jet Car Stunts (1.99) - physics defying, you're not really running against anyone here, just flying around enjoying the levels and getting yourself killed (watch video).
    - GT Motor Academy (4.99) - Sim with lots of cars
    - Real Racing (4.99) - Sim
    - Raging Thunder 2 (2.99) - Arcade style, powerups, very addictive.
    - Motocross Challenge (.99) - Excite Bike 16 bit old style, awesome.

    Sports:
    - Baseball Superstars 2010 (4.99) - Combines baeball + RPG elements, result? Fun!

    Awesomeness:
    - Solomon's Keep (1.99) - This is a RPG/Random generated level/Random generated skills in which you guide a wizard to the top of a tower (13 levels) to kill the bad guy. SO MUCH STUFF IN HERE, you really can't miss either.

    Board:
    - Jamzu - Pretty unique, challenging and addictive, is like chess meets backgammon, kinda.

    FPS
    - NOVA (4.99) - Pretty nice FPS with a futuristic setting (read: GL's Halo clone)
    - Zombie Infection (6.99) - GL's version of RE 5
    - N.Y. Zombies (.99) - This is like a TD, but the Tower is yourself, so I consider it a FPS with no movement where you have to protect yourself from the upcoming waves.
    - Battle Bears (1.99) - Get rid of pink rainbow filled bears, c'mon, you know you want to... lots of content, bosses and weapons.
    - Eliminate (Free) - It is free, it is online, it is updated, it is fun.

    Fighting
    - Street Fighter IV (9.99) - self-explanatory

    Shmups
    - ESPGaluda II (8.99) - More of a bullet hell than a Shmup, pretty awesome, downside it that it requires 3g or more to play.
    - Icarus-X (.99) - Great game, based more on your strategy and ability to keep combos high than just killing everything in screen
    - Tyrian (1.99) - Port from DOS, awesome game.
    - Sky Force (1.99) - Pretty straightforward, but allows you to choose between 3 ships and 3 difficulties, enjoyable
    - Roswell Fighter (.99) - Pretty graphics and fun :D

Sword and Poker is portrait, it isn't traditional poker, but it is pretty good. Card Shark has variations of poker, but it is only landscape.
