No, its an OK game, but it's not that good, if your looking for a good Rogue-Like, then I suggest Sword of Fargoal, it is one of the best on the App store.
thank you what makes it only ok? the graphix are what really turn me on. i have never actually played a rouge like...
Yeah I really liked the graphics to, but the game feels unfinished, it still has a lot of bugs, the characters lag ALOT, when they move, attack, etc. The game is really slow paced, and like I said, it still has alot of bugs, the game just seems like it was rushed, you may like it, but for me personally I don't like how the game feels, if you want the pro points of Fargoal, I'll tell you.
Ok what a Rogue-Like is, is a game that the whole point is to try to go as far as you can and make it to the end, but what makes it different from other types of game's, is the fact that YOU WILL DIE, and die ALOT, but that is the whole fun of it, to try different technic's and see which one works best for you. But when you die it's game over, and you have to start over, and every time you start over the map's weapon placement, enemy locations, and etc. are randomized every time. So even when you beat the game, you can play it again, and the location and map are different. Hope this help.
thanks that helps. sounds hard but weird idk. i dont think i will like having to start ALL over though when i finish the game, if i ever do. lol. and i checked out sword of fargol, and i cant buy it. i have this problem that if the graphix are bad, no matter how good the game is, i cant bring myself to buy it. shame. :/ thanks for all your help
You are really missing out, I thought the graphics were bad, but that is what makes it so awesome, here check out this forum, and ask around../. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=49385&page=159
I can't believe you won't buy a game because of graphics... Man, most of the best games don't have good graphics! Doom, Wolfenstein, Monkey Island (before Spec. Edition). Plus, this game looks much better in motion. But that really shouldn't matter. You should definetly get this game. I usually don't like roguelikes (the only other one I've ever liked was Doom Roguelike), but I really enjoyed this game. It'll change your mind about graphics, and if not, I don't know what to tell you. And man, I keep running into a bunch of people I used to talk to on the forums a lot in this thread...
Tilt to Live(not sure if it is $.99 but whatever it is GET IT!!), Super 7, Edge, Fruit Ninja, Guerrilla Bob, Minigore, Roswell Fighter
I need a good suggestion for a game that will last me for a long time. I don't really want a game like doodle jump where it's the same thing over and over. Price is not really an issue so it doesn't have to be a $1 game. I do not have a consistent wifi access so please no games that require Wifi
Space Miner, Plants vs. Zombies, and N.O.V.A are all good and last a while Btw, has anyone tried 2012 Elements?
Battle for Wesnoth - amazing TBS with RPG elements and TONS of content - they list it as having over 100 hours of gameplay! Plus, it happens to be only $1 right now (was going for $5 for a long time). Also Palm Heroes - another TBS with RPG elements (like Heroes of Might and Magic) and tons of content. It's $10 though (but there is a free version, and the dev recently posted an image showing what seemed to be brand new artwork - I think he's redoing all of the artwork to make it bigger/better). Galaxy on Fire is another one - a good space shooter with tons of missions and space stations to explore. $6 - might want to wait though since I think GoF 2 is in development. There's a lite version to try. Warpgate too - more of a space trader with huge amount of content. $5. Also has a lite version.
