Yes definitely go for it. I've only got Sonic CD and AB Seasons from it, but it is legit. I ran out of sponsor apps and am at 1260 points now. It's pretty easy too.
Alright, good to hear. Currently have every game I want from it, but I guess I'll stock up some points.
Not going to support freemyapps.com because of ulterior motives, but yeah it seems to be legit and not a scam. Also, I'm pretty sure iOS 5 is a culprit in the stability department. Just about every new game crashes on my iPod. I've just gotten used to it.
Don't forget that you can use multiple devices. I was able to get IB2, GTA3, Sonic CD, Skyfire, Fruit Ninja: PIB, and the new Bejeweled with 3 devices. And I still have one more device that I can use
Could one of you give me a basic synopsis on this game. I've been looking into it for awhile but I just don't know anything about it! How long is it? Is it fun?
Sword and Sworcery is pretty much anything you want it to be (to a certain extent). It has RPG elements (ie. Quests, battles, mushroom potions) but there is no depth in the RPG aspect of the game. On the other hand, this is the definitive iOS exploration game IMO. The game simply provides you with a highly polished pixel world to get lost in. Amazing sounds/music sucks you in too. Really, the gameplay is pretty simple, it is just the exploration/puzzle-solving aspect that will keep you going. For example, battles are just timing based. But the battles aren't supposed to be the selling point of the game. The overall immersive experience is what you will love most about the game. Also, at $0.99 no reason not to give it a go.
It's a point-and-click adventure. You control a warrior who's basically out to save the world from a great evil - yeah, not very original, but the execution of the plot is what's so different and cool. From the pixel graphics to the tongue-in-cheek humor to the minute details of the world (like deer and rabbits darting into bushes when you get near them) to the combat system that involves rotating your device into a combat mode, the game is filled with unique elements. It's definitely well done but it's no cake walk. It requires some thought and persistence. I'm 75% done with it, but it gets more difficult as you go along, requiring more thought and exploration, which is why I haven't finished it (I keep getting stuck on puzzles and distracted by other games ). It probably takes about 5-10 hours though depending on how quickly you get through the puzzles and how much exploration/site seeing/stopping to smell the roses you do.
Ok, I can choose between FF:Tactics or FF:III I already own FF:III on DS and have finished it, but is it a good port. I'd be keen on playing through it again. How long is FF:Tactics? Is there any replayabilty once it's over? Does anyone know if it's similar to the DS version? If I could get one Sonic Game? I'm leaning towards Sonic 4 at the moment... Is Gears any good? Thanks in advance
Sonic CD by a long shot as I have played all of them on the system. Excellent port, amazing graphics controls and sense of speed. Great time travel mechanic too.
So what US State doesn't have tax, and what's their postcode? I don't like paying an extra 8 cents per dollar on every purchase with my US account... I don't even live in the US. =/
Can't say much about the FF games as I haven't played them. But Sonic CD is lightyears ahead of the other iOS Sonic games. And yes, Gears by CM games is amazing! Definitely recommend at $0.99
Yeah Sword & Sworcery is pretty cool, I just got it like 2 hours ago (Haven't been playing it the whole time) And it crashed only once. (Stuff always crashes on my 2nd gen iPod). It is a little weird though, and when the screen goes black/blue and you have to hold your tap or something it never works, or I am not doing it correctly. I always get stuck for about 10/15 seconds while i proceed to look like a complete idiot as I shake, tap, double tap, and scream (joking) on the screen. By the way, the sound track is soooooooooooooo awesome! So is the dog! Anyways, yay Sword & Sworcery!
I'd say wait a couple days and see if you see a game you want more going on sale. If you don't, then buy 9mm...
