I don't know if this is the proper thread to ask this but:

If I wanted to buy a console and my main interest were fighting games, would I buy PS3 or XBOX 360?

Either, they've been homogenized to no end. I would suggest 360 though.

Well I've only played GTA 3 for a while, but first it crashed after the first mission and I couldn't save, happened 3 times. Then I restarted iPod and cleared multitask bar and worked smoothly :) It's awesome to go around driving a cab or a police car :) Police chases rock :D

Don't know of Sonic CD or Space Tripper(thinking of buying myself also), but here's the rest in must-have list.

    1. Jet Car Stunts
    2. Mini Motor Racing
    3. Sleepy Jack

Sleepy Jack is close, but I think MMR has more content... Then again, Sleepy Jack has better replayability.

Hey, what's up Robert! It's pretty much what Echoseven said. There's really not too many exclusives anymore. As far as fighting games, I've seen a huge decline in anything traditional. So, I found myself playing more Xbox Arcade fighting games. Well, besides things like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Blade, and a few others.

I'd also suggest picking up the Xbox 360 because it seems to have a better community and the controller is 10x better than the PS3's IMO. To be honest, if you can hold out, I'd suggest waiting one more year for the next gen consoles!

The PS3 has a lot of great system features and a good amount of exclusives.

The 360 has a much much better online system and community.

They are equal when it come to fighting games. I would recommend PS3, though. All depends on your preference.

Virtually nothing in terms of gameplay. It's just that the storylines are different. Omega came out afterwards so it'd just make sense playing the original first. Hoping Chaos Rings II will actually offer something new.

Hmmmm. I've got ten dollars in my account, and I haven't bought anything since Infinity Blade II. What should I buy? I really want the new Sonic and GTA III, but I don't want to blow all my credit at once. Are those two titles so high-quality that they'll likely top any Christmas sales/releases in the coming weeks?

Best games of the week for me are The Adventures of Tintin (but it's $7), Bug Princess, and Wind-Up Knights.

I like Snoticles and Tongue Tied as well. For some reason, I still haven't played Trenches 2 yet. But it's getting a lot of praise.

For last week, Stretched and Crazy Bomber.

Remember Znenonia 4 (may be freemium), Terra Noctis, and M.U.S.E (so pumped for this) come out next week.

I think both Sonic and GTA might be introductory prices, so consider that as well.

None of those really caught my interest. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

Both are at introductory specials? That just made things a lot more difficult.

I was also looking at Time Ducks as well. It looks absolutely insane- and fun.
    EDIT:
Eh, I decided to pass on GTA3. I'm currently downloading Sonic CD; does anyone have Time Ducks/know how it fared critically?

Wow, none of them lol! Based off of the three games you listed, you're genre base is pretty open, so I'm a bit stumped.

Maybe check out Sleepy Jack, Subtub, Batman (another higer priced game), Let Me out, Kaptain Krawe (it's free w/IAP purchase), and Ice Rage. IDK

    Edit
I mean GTA III and Sonic will prolly be solid choices for you, especially since you were interested in them. If you had The Bard's Tale on your mind at all, they will be upping it's price to $10

Well, they look good, but they aren't what I look for in an iOS game, exactly. I primarily use iOS to fill the gaps of boredom in my day, i.e. not when I'm at home. All of your recommendations look good, for sure, but not quite what I'm looking for. For example: Tintin looks really good for an iOS game. Great voice acting, animations, visual effects- for the platform. It looks like something I'd enjoy, for sure, but in order to get the full experience, I would have to play it at home with headphones. But then I've got an HDTV just down the stairs with the incredible Uncharted 3 crying out to me "How could you? I'm so much better looking and engaging than that iOS game!" And I say "Shut up, it's fun!" Lol, I don't even know where I was going with this. I have no way of explaining why I like and dislike the games I do.

So, aaaaaanyways, I bought Sonic, passed GTA3 (I don't have the slightest idea why, I just don't want it anymore), and am looking at Ice Rage and Time Ducks. Sorry for the wall of text.

Yeah, I feel you! i just don't console game too much anymore (just FIFA and the major, MAJOR titles (ME, BF, ES)), so I usually don't factor that in.

    Good luck with your choices!

Bug Princess or Grand Theft Auto 3?

I never much cared for GTA but I would be interested in an open world sandbox game. I love dual stick shooters... I think both are introductory prices.
