it's not for iPhone?! damn... Anywayz, I think it looks pretty decent actually. Gonna check out Race of Champions, Elder Signs: Omens(maybe), Sad Robot which is free and DynaStunts :) not sure which ones gonna pick up, but those got me interested.

Its a solid 7/10 for me. The controls are fine to me. I didn't have any console experience with DMC, but the combos system is easy to pull off. The main thing I didn't like about the combo system is you can only "equip" a limited set of combos. The camera pans around too much for me (like its trying to look for a good angle). The game is fun at times, but as mentioned in reviews, each stage/room feels pretty much the same. The boss battles, in my opinion, are a bit too long and dragged on.

I had fun with it, but ended up deleting it after beating it as Nero &
    Dante
once. It felt like it would take too long to unlock all the combos. For 0.99, I don't mind it. Its fun for a few hours, but for some reason, I don't feel compelled to come back to the game. If you get this game, just expect an ok game.

Its probably not an exact comparison, but I had more fun with Predators and Spiderman in terms of a "beat-em up" game.

    iKaossilator is $9.99 and AMAZING!

    Oh wait, you meant games?

Last thing I picked up was Elder Sign, which is good, and the HD version of Necronomicon...

Currently playing The Secret of Chateau de Moreau, which is fantastic if you like story/puzzle driven games. Same goes for Gamebook Adventures: Temple of the Spider God. I'd recommend both, even if you missed the sales...

As far as action goes, the best I've played recently is still Jetpack Joyride and Monsters Ate My Condo. :p

Xtreme Wheels is still $0.99 - great trials game. Bike Baron is good too.

So yeah, Poker Pals along with Wizardry and Sad Robot, since those are free tonight. Besides those, just the DD update.

Going to pass on RoC. Will probably get Elder Signs. Anyone recommend Flick Tennis or Ninja Pong? Not really a fan of casual games.

Anyone see anything good from tonight besides the ones I mentioned?

I think the only thing i'd consider getting tonight (besides the free games, of course) would be DynaStunts, which looks pretty cool. If it was 0.99 I'd for sure get it, but since I haven't picked up Bike Baron yet I might wait on it and just wish list it. (Flick Tennis is pretty nice, multiplayer, doubles mode, some comics things, and a solid control system. If you like tennis games, go for it, but you might want to get a better opinion than mine)
Also: How good are GarageBand and (less likely that you've seen this one) TableDrum? I noticed Apple's apps never have price drops, so I don't have to worry about that with GarageBand, but...how good is it? And is TableDrum amazing (it's 0.99 and I have the odd habit of drumming on a desk quit often and that would turn it into real music...)
Back to games: Commander Pixman for a buck if I loved League of Evil (one of my fav games) but am not generally a retro-y person? It's on sale for Halloween on a 'for a limited time' basis, so it'll be back to 1.99 soon i think...

Garageband is gooooood.. really good. It's incredibly useful if you're a musician, and incredibly fun if you're not.

It has a "smart" guitar that just kind of puts together a few chords you can "play" that might sound good together (not a huge fan of this) and something similar for the keyboard. It also has a full keyboard and a pretty neat drum kit that responds to how lightly you tap (same with the piano); it's quite impressive. You can also record and edit audio and use your iPhone or iPad as an amp, of you're a guitar player that has the proper adapter. It also has the standard loops thing from the Mac program where you can record clip or insert generic drum beats or basslines, etc. You can export this to your computer (if it's a Mac) and continue working on it with the desktop version.

Overall, the complete package is bursting at the seams with features, and has very good value at five bucks. It comes highly recommended from a musician, but I would also recommend it to anyone that enjoys listening to music and wants to mess around and create their own.

    Has anyone tried this?
App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

How is it compared to NanoStudio and BM2?

Poker Pals is highly recommended. Great mix of Sword & Poker gameplay with the asynchronous multiplayer system of games like WWF. You can also play the AI on three difficulty levels. At least give the lite version a go. Not a fan of Sad Robot or Wizardry though. SR is a poor man's version of Jetpack Joyride, and I've never been a fan of RPGs like The Quest, Undercroft, etc. so Wizardry isn't for me. I'm sure people who like the genre will enjoy Wizardry though.

Not the most spectacular release night. Will give the updated DD a try later. Might look into DynaStunts.

I am a HUGE fan of Undercroft and The Quest so I will post back as soon as I get Wizardry downloaded. I am super excited for this one.

As for the rest, I will look into Poker Pals because Sword & Poker was one of my favorites back in the day as well.

I agree though that in general, the release night was a dud.

Well MAMC seems to be higher rated... but I don't know. both are excellent I guess(don't have them, just giving perspective or review sites giving MAMC higher scores).

Very limited - but don't take that as a bad thing!

NanoStudio and BM2 are more like a complete digital audio workstation in your pocket. BM2 is samples only, NanoStudio contains synths (and the best sequencer on iOS, IMHO.)

Rhythm Studio takes a step back and does things the old-school hardware way, with step sequencers and drum machines. Sometimes less is more - it is a lot of fun to play around with, and you can create some nice music with it. Mostly keep in mind you will be programming step sequencers instead of working on a piano-roll style sequencer.

If you like to experiment, then RS might provide a better workflow for you than NS or BM2 - it's great fun to set up a 16 beat loop and tinker with it, then build a song out of it.

Check out the (long!) Aps For Musicians thread for more info on these (and other music) apps.

Both are good, the question is do you want a crazy sandwich building platformer, or an insane endless puzzle match 3 type game? I was super addicted to MAMC for about a week then it got old. I'm not as addicted to BMS but I've only had it for a few days and am enjoying it.

    U mean wheres my water?

Well Whale Trail is pretty awesome, better than Tiny Wings for sure. Bring me sandwiches seems to be great and so is wmw, but Bike Baron was a small let down. Was waiting more, but it is still a great trial game.

Btw, anyone read the ta article of ubisoft buying redlynx?! They said theyre bringing trials to fast growing digital platform! Maybe app store?!?! :D
