Every TA review is now going to include a rating out of 5 stars. Looks like they went back and added a rating to all of their previous reviews as well. Great way to gauge for consistency for readers.

It's not a game, but how is the iOS edition of Garageband? Anyone have it on an iPod/can give it a test run on an iPod after its universal update?

Doh, I was incorrect about Junk Jack (since it just got submitted). For some reason, I had thought it was submitted earlier, my bad. So I guess it's just Wizardry for me, and the DD: Second Wave upgrade.

What's the best music production app?

    GarageBand, FL Studio, etc.

Are you talking for iOS? My two favorites are Music Studio and Beatmaker 2. MS is a bit better for orchestral compositions and BM2 is better for synth and drum/bass type music. BM2 does come with a lot more instruments/samples (MS comes with a basic set but you can buy more through IAP), but I think MS's interface is a bit easier to use. I think BM2's sound editing/processing is a bit more thorough too.

Yes, for iOS. Beat Maker 2 looks good but it's more than I am willing to right pay now. Anything $10 or less. Is GarageBand horrible?

Ha, didn't even realize GB was available for iOS. That's cool - then you could take your song from your iDevice and finish/clean it up on your mac.

About Music Studio, there's a lite version you can try for free.

Probably why I didn't know about it - no ipad. But yeah, universal now - cool, and only $5!

I still tend to turn to Nano Studio first when I want to make music on my iPhone.

iSyn is a great budget studio if your a synth-head (like me!)

I'd echo Art's comments on Music Studio being more suited to classical music than anything. FL Studio is built from the same code, but with different samples.

    If you're comfortable with ROMplers,
Beatmaker 2 has an impressive feature set, I just don't like it's workflow as much. And it's HUGE!

Tonight's releases look like crap besides Poker Pals, wow. Might as well check out Wizardry for free. Besides those, the update to Dungeon Defenders is pretty much all I'm looking forward to today.

Going to consider picking up Race of Champions and Elder Signs: Omen, which both came out earlier this week. I guess we had our two weeks of amazing releases. Next week looks great though.

Oh, might be getting Crafted as well. Not sure there's a point since Junk Jack is coming next week though.

Maybe Flick Tennis and Ninja Pong too from last week.

It might be true in terms of iPhone releases, but for iPad users we got Aquaria coming in couple of hours:D
